how exactly do I use that "code" button to get the columns to line up?

within the open and close of the code tags, the font will remain fixed in size, so you don't have to worry about the lines shifting around and being out of whack.

It might be easiest to line up the columns in notepad and cut/paste it within the code tags.

A hat trick from Ryan Smyth wasn't enough to get the Avs past New York. Two goals for Jagr, and a scramble to hang on at the end. Good game.

That it was. Some crazy bounces throughout the game as well.

Watch out for Jagr, league...he's pretty much automatic near the net, in position or not.

Here you go. There are 2 possible boxes to shade for each opponent (one going vertical-column and one going horizontal-row). An unshaded box stands for ONE game that isn't played yet. When all your boxes are shaded, one row and one column, then you are done. For example, Florida has played 7 games (shaded) and has 11 games left (unshaded).
