Zambrano is a F'N punk for what he did. Errors happen, they are part of the game just like K's and stars failing 70% of the time at the dish. He better apologize profusely and take responsibility or his days as a Cub favorite will be numbered. It isn't Barrtett's fault that his tits have been lit up all year.

As far as A-Rod.....are there any fundamentals taught and followed in MLB anymore? What the F is this "I got it" call? Any fundamental team will call out there position when fielding a pop up. "3B 3B 3B" is what should have been yelled by the Jays rookie when calling for the pop-up. When two guys are yelling "I got it", you are asking for a clusterf*ck. A-Rod pulled a classic baserunning deek to tery and get an extra run for his team...much like pretending to field a double play ball...on a pop-up on a hit and run play.

I'm much more interested in the deek Stray-Rod performed to hang out with a stripper who is not his wife.

I wonder if Stray-Rod also yells "Swing batter, batter, batter, batter!"

And just as the BlueJays start getting a couple of healthy bodies back, L. Overbay is gone for four to six weeks as he got hit with a pitch today. Big loss.

Most of you have probably seen this already, but for any who missed it, here was an amusing meltdown by the manager of the Braves' AA squad.

Or for the condensed version with ESPN commentary

Part of me wants to think he's a real idiot, particularly since I hate the Yanks but the other part can't help but thinking (softly, to myself) "he he he, nice move." It's hard to fault the guy for being uber competitive in an age when a lot of big names can't be bothered to run out grounders. As far as the stripper thing, well, I wish I could say I couldn't imagine how that could happen ;)

What Javi...no commentary on getting swept by the Phils?

LOL...it's a damn good thing they got swept or the Braves would be WAAAY back since they have sucked lately as well. At least they both can struggle at the same time. Keeps it closer.

I'll comment... last night HURT. Schoenweis has been an under-the-radar nightmare all year. I think he was key in giving up a game to the Braves at Shea earlier this season, too. Watching Ben Johnson have to play almost nightly makes me throw up im my mouth a little, but he's actually done an okay job the last couple days. And Heilman has turned into an automatic dinger for the opposing team. To quote U2, he's stuck in a moment (last year's NLCS) and can't get out of it. Yeah, the only thing that's making this bearable is the fact that the Braves are struggling too. What's worst of all is that I can't bear to listen to sports radio in NYC on a day when the Mets lose a heartbreaker and the Yanks have a dramatic win, and it's making the day go very slowly.

Anybody catch Artie Lange on Letterman the other night? Pretty funny stuff, ripping on ARod, the Red Sox and how his dad threw him on the field during the Yankees World Series celebration when he was a kid...

Not a bad weekend for the Jays in interleague action vs the Dodgers. They take two out of three in LA but more importantly Roy Halladay seems to be getting his groove back after recent surgery. The Doc had two singles today, not too shabby for a guy that was doing only bunting practices .

Guess who's getting HOT lately folks: NYY.

That was a DAMN impressive 9th for Verlander in his no-hitter. Sheesh. Still throwing 101 and getting two K's in the 9th to finish it off. Just awesome.

Will the injury bug ever stop for the Jays? Just as R. Halladay comes back, their number two pitcher A.J. Burnett gets hurt against the Giants. I think I should ask myself, who hasn't been on the DL yet?

The Mets completely losing their mojo is tough enough, but having the Yanks regain theirs at the same time is like barbed wire up my urethra.

In case anyone still cares about Sammy, he hit his 600 homer tonight.

Nice to see the Rocks cool them down a bit. Wonder how long they'll continue to play good ball? I'm sure they'll hit a 10 game losing streak going into the all-star break as usual, but the last couple of weeks or so has actually been fun to watch them play for a change.

F. Thomas is in the 500 homer club, but in a losing cause to the Twins. Series split.

Kinda weird about Mike Hargrove. I wonder what's really going on. I hope it's nothing physical. Seems odd he would just quit like that.

Always been a big fan of his, going back to his playing days with the Tribe, when he was known as the "Human Rain Delay".

And even though he d*cked us over on Opening Day this year, waiting until there were two outs and two strikes in the fifth inning before complaining about the snow, I still like the guy. :D

Tribe and Tigers start a big three-game series tonight. Should be fun to watch, especially Thursday's game, CC against Verlander, WOW!!! :D

I have to say...Petco is one impressive ballpark.

I'm down in SD for the Braves series and it's my first visit to Petco, and damn. It's just a beautiful facility.

The Sox finally did something right this season! Buehrle signs 4-year/$56 million extension.

Damn..DB...why didn't you tell me.

Well, my prediction back in early April that the Giants would be mediocre have come to fruition. Zito is a huge bust for the money they paid him. Still an adequate pitcher but so are many many others making less then 3 million a year.

If the Pads can get another stick besides Bradley, they and the Dodgers will come down to the wire.

The All-Star game will be fun. Still the best among all the sports by a wide margin.

It was seriously a spur of the moment thing. We decided Thursday night to drive there on Friday (took a nice 5 hours, awesome!), catch the game Friday night and then the Saturday day game and come back...so it was a quick trip.

Going into the AS' game my vote for MVP would be M. Ordonez in the AL and Cecil, I mean Prince Fielder in the NL. A-Rod has been having a great season too but inconsistency seem to doom the Yankees so far.
