I have this appliance that I got for Christmas that I thought I might use but it's instead been collecting dust in the box. I haven't even opened it yet. So, I don't have a receipt, and the person who gave it to me isn't the kind who would take it well if I told them I wasn't going to use it. I would much rather spend the $90 or so that this thing cost on something more useful.
Anyway, from your experiences, which stores have the most no-hassle return policy for store credit on unopened appliances without a receipt?

I looked at walmart.com and didn't see this thing. I don't know if they carry it, actually. That might be problematic.
Most stores are getting quite militant on non-receipt returns, but I'm sure if you have an hour or so to kill you can cruise to a few department stores and find somebody who doesn't really give a rat's ass about their job.
