I have had two hole in ones in roughly 100 hours of gameplay. They are rare when playing in TOUR Pro difficulty. I have not played online much, but there are numerous reports that TOUR Pro plays even tougher when playing online.
If you want to build your character with minimum frustration, play a combination of Tiger Challenge (be sure to play through the challenges vertically, not horizontally meaning once you complete the first challenge successfully, drop down to the next tier and play the first challenge on that line and so on...I played it horizontally and it was very difficult and at times frustrating) and the Practice Facility. I would recommend not even venturing into PGA TOUR Season mode until your character is in the 75% or higher attributes.

Thanks, I didn't know which one I should start and now I do.DivotMaker wrote:I have had two hole in ones in roughly 100 hours of gameplay. They are rare when playing in TOUR Pro difficulty. Tiger 07 PC Patch Information
Direct correspondence from EA:
The PC patch is in QA. Here is a list of things that will be fixed.
* Sidehill and uphill lies were not affecting the shot physics. - Fixed
* Missing fog and haze effects - Fixed
* Missing near fog animation - Fixed
* Courses from earlier releases and Course Architect courses had bad reflections and trees with gray halos. - Fixed - the reflections and fixed the gray halo problem for older courses and Course Architect courses.
* Antialiasing not working. Created a work-around to get antialiasing working. By turning off “ Bloom”, “Depth-Of-Field”, and “Lensflare” effect from the Options screen, the user can get antialiasing working again. The full fix for this issue will be in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008.
With the patch being in QA, this means it should be released for download any day. Please check at the EA Tiger 07 site for news of it's release.

I love it one the 360!!Leebo33 wrote:I am *really* looking forward to this game! It has the potential to be fantastic. I tried to play this on the 360 last night and it just doesn't feel right anymore. It doesn't look too bad for a first generation Wii game either.

But isn't a "first generation" wiii game just a 4th generation Gamecube game?

Oh, I think the game is great don't get me wrong. It's just that Wii sports golf has sold me on the entire concept and has me itching to try the "real" swing with real courses and golfers. The joystick swing in golf games now feels to me much like the tri-click swing felt after playing PGA Tour for the first time. I also feel the same way about the Madden controls. I love the controls in Madden Wii and they are only going to get better and more intuitive. I don't think I'll even bother to buy Madden on the 360 next year, although I'll probably pick up NCAA Football because Penn State should be decent and my cousin is a Senior at ArmyDivotMaker wrote:Care to share why you feel that way?Leebo33 wrote:I tried to play this on the 360 last night and it just doesn't feel right anymore.
I also believe the Wii version has at least 33% more courses.

Cool. I think you might be right regarding the Wii.Leebo33 wrote:

True, but none of them have anywhere near the detail that the 360/PS3 courses do. They are a mix of the 07 PC courses (bleh) and a mish-mash of the old PS2/XBox courses. All that being said, I bet it is fun to play.Leebo33 wrote:I also believe the Wii version has at least 33% more courses.

Well, the courses are there for the 360, it's just that you either slowly earn them or buy them with points as I did.

No. Unfortunately in EA's rush to get this version out the door and hand the development reins over to Tiburon, they neglected to develop a Season Editor nor Course Architect for 2007....fsquid wrote:On the PC version, if I download a bunch of courses, can I have them come up at random in the tour mode somehow? I'm itching to play this again with the patch after watching some golf.
