Tuesday Night Shoot-em-ups: RS 360

Post by Zeppo »

Well, I thought I'd give RobV a chance to get a GoW night going, but oh well.

Who would be up for more R6 tonight? Say, 10pm to get together, 10:30 or 11pm for the late comers would work fine. We can start with a little co-op if we have a small early group.

I really enjoyed what we did last time: no explosives (except breaches), no respawns, 3-rounds on the same side per match, and then move to the next map and the teams get mixed up (really, 2 out of 3; if one side wins the first two, we'll just go to the next map).

The one thing is that Attack/Defend doesn't use all the maps, and it might be fun to try some other modes on the maps we haven't seen yet, including the carry-overs from the old R6 games (cannister mode? Team survival, though I really like the direction the objective modes give the game even if they do end up being Survival a lot of the time).

Suggestions are welcome.

LOL I was all set, but work issues are going to force me to try and set it up for tomorrow. Thanks for leaving the floor open for a bit.

A lot of fun for sure. The only downfall is the stupid voice chat issues. Makes it very difficult to plan and whatnot when you cannot talk to hardly anyone on your team.

sorry I had to bail at around 12:30 on you guys, but I haven't been getting enough sleep lately. I can't wait until they fix the voice chat issues......should make the game much more enjoyable. I just wish I didn't suck so bad. Nothing worse than getting killed in the first minute and then watching someone else run around for 10 minutes.

p.s. Teal....I wish this game had the chainsaw, like in GOW. How funny would it be to sneak around behind you as you are looking through your snake cam, waiting to breach-charge someone and chainsaw your ass!!!

Next time we should try some retrieval. It's still tactical and values teamwork and coordination, but there's a lot less standing around since there are respawns.

I couldnt hear anyone but Teal and Mix last night. I had fun though but i still prefer GRAW to this. I like the cover system in RSV, but I guess I like the GRAW environements more.

I too would also like to try something other then A&D at some point.

Good fun last night gents. Gears of War, Rainbow 6:Vegas, and Splinter Cell:Double Agent are the trifecta of online gaming right now. Hopefully they'll patch the voice problems in Gears and Rainbow. At least in Gears you can start a new room and fix everything.

GRAW 2 will be here in a few months. If they put the R6 cover system in it, it'll be awesome, I'd bet.

GRAW 2 is still in Mexico, but there are more environments. The buildings will be war torn, you'll be in forests as well, and...well, the new Game Informer has the scoop...it looks great...

But I love R6 for what it is, and GRAW for what it is. Need to play some more Gears and SC soon as well.

I could only hear Teal and Scoop and a couple of others off and on, was still fun even though I really suck, I think I only got one kill all night.
