That's what their website is saying (showing 10/17 as the shipping date).
Thanks, saw that to. Just thought they all came out at the same time. No biggie.

Anyone get into the PC version yet? It released today.

Also, anyone find out if the 360 controller is compatible with it on the PC?

Are you guys not reading this thread...guys have already mentioned they have the PC version (via the EA Downloader). Plus, how do you pick something up when it doesn't arrive until today?

I'd have the downloadable version, but then you can't sell it if the 360 version ends up being great.

I got mine at EB. I didn't want to download it because I can't sell it if the 360 version is as good as I think it will be.

Any impressions DB? I'm tempted to pick it up just for Firestone and Spyglass. Firestone was always one of my favorites in the Links PC days.

I've only played two rounds on Advanced and it is quite a bit harder than last years. The position of the ball has a lot to do with how it comes off the club...moreso that ever before, which is a good sign. The graphics are upgraded a bit and to my surprise they were a little less taxing on my aging system. Last years ran worse with everything maxed out, this year, I can run them maxed out and it is pretty smooth. I also couldn't seem to find Firestone...I wonder if you need to unlock it or something...but then again, I only just jumped into a few rounds, so I didn't look all that much. I'm about to play another round or two, so I'll report back.

Db...There are less courses in the PC version so Firestone might not be in the game.

Yeah, at least not the Firestone that is designed by EA. There are a couple that have been designed by the guys at the TW community. I don't normally worry about what courses come with the PC games since there are so many available to download and use anyway.

DB, Is the game worth 40 bucks if I bought last years?

Don't know...haven't gotten into the other modes and stuff that are new this year. It certainly looks better than last years, which was a nice surprise, but I wouldn't say it's a 40 dollar graphical upgrade.

What's your system running?

Do you think an old tired P4 2.5 ghz Processor, 512 megs of RAM and a 9700 Pro could hadle it ok?

Yours would probably be fine...have to cut down on some of the details but it would be playable.

I've got an AMD Athlon 64 3500+, ATI X800 Pro and 2 gb of ram and I can run it fairly well at the highest res (1600x1200) with full details. I'll probably turn a few of the details down to get a perfect framerate, but it's playable now.

Graphics wise I was more impressed with the 360 demo than the PC version. I was dissappointed it didn't take the 360 controller, unless I am doing something wrong so I went back to the wireless Logitech. Of course making the faces and trying to build your career is part of the fun here but I thought the 360 was better looking and run smoother. Mind you I don't have the latest video card but with a P4, 2.2 GHZ processor and a 1 GB memory, it's doing fine.

I got it today and I have used the 360 controller with it. I had to create a golfer and change the swing control to gamepad in order to use it. However after playing a few rounds with it and back to Trueswing, I think that I'll be sticking with TS because it feels a bit smoother to me.

Well yeah...but I was comparing the 07 PC version to the 06 PC version.

That stinks. I read that the game has Firestone CC off the EB Games Tiger 07 PC page. I should know better than to get my info there.

Played another few rounds today in PGA TOUR mode and stumbled upon something that really improved the graphics. I have an ATI X850XT with 256 MB of VRAM and a 22" Samsung WS monitor running at 1680x1050 native resolution. I had been using the 1280x768 rendering mode thinking it was the highest resolution of the WS resolution offerings. In-game, the game looked okay, but surely did not look like it was running at 1680x1050. However, 1280x1024 is also available, so I tried it and it renders so much crsper and truly looks like a high resolution widescreen game. The differences in the entire game are hard to describe but it is very pronounced.

DB, have you tried the 1600x1200 resolution on your rig?

What is even worse is when EA cannot even get it right on their own website....

Yes, I'm running 1600x1200...but it's letterboxed on my monitor. I don't like stretching images because it makes the game look different than it was intended. Last year, someone came out with a hack to play 06 at the 1920x1200 res my monitor displays, but that didn't happen for a while.

I didn't see any higher end widescreen resolutions at all in the options...which is a damn shame really since they are becoming more and more popular.

Oh yeah, and if anyone is looking for a decent monitor, Dell is about to start selling a 20 inch widescreen for $289. Wow. (don't remember where I read that, so don't shoot the messenger)

That page is for the 360 version. The EA PC feature set page does not have Firestone listed. I'm sure EB Games just copied the 360 feature set right over to their PC page. I'm hoping that the 360 version actually does have Firestone.
