I'm pretty wary of taking another German squad... Shalke certainly didn't fit my style. Let me check them out closer in the moring and I'll post then.
Schalke is easily one of the worst teams in the list, while Berlin is among the better half of the Second Tier.
Try them out, and let me know. I hope to get the schedule up tonight or tomorrow.
Also, to everyone else, I would love to do another Cup, but I'm not sure it makes sense to start a new one when we haven't finished the first one. Semis are up and ready, do you guys want to play them or just skip it?

Another among the lower half of the Top Tier. Still, even those teams are very good teams. One more round, if you want, and this one is final. You cannot get either of the two teams you've already been drawn if you choose to go for round three, but that draw will be final. Here would be the teams left you would be drawing from:

It really doesn't matter to me. I can skip it if that is the consensus. If not, I can play my semi any night starting between 10-11PM EDT. I could possibly play earlier most nights or later on a Friday or Saturday.
I haven't seen a large public outcry for another cup so maybe it's something we should just do periodically.

They didn't make my first, unscientific cut based solely on overall 'shape' comparison. However, they have a good starting group, it turns out, and their big weakness is depth, something they share with most of the asterisked teams in the Second Tier. I wouldn't have added them to the list if dave360 hadn't brought up that he wanted them, which reminded me of a discussion I had had about them with Rob.
Anyway, presonally I would reject almost any asterisked team in the first round of the draw, but that's just me. The non-asterisked teams are better, and there are a handful of very good Second Tier teams in there. Then again, you could end up with Toulouse or Fenerbahce!
I like the cup idea but share bastards comment, let's only continue if all of us are in going to embrace it. If not, it's 2 more mandatory games that need to played and we are surrounded with great games to play now (with more on the horizon.)
Well, the idea is to have teams randomly assigned to players. I had assumed, Azpaco, that you wanted to keep Bremen since you won the division with them last season. If you want to discard them, we can re-start the Second Tier draw and get you into it, but I am getting very anxious to get this season going forward.
If we don't hear from dave360 by 5 pm Eastern this afternoon, he will be stuck with PSG (not a bad lot to be stuck with, really), and I will do round two for Slumber and squid.
If I can't get the schedule up by noon tomorrow at the latest, I am inclined to push the season start to next Sunday. That may give us a chance to ge the Cup finished as well.
Hm... not what I was expecting. I'm almost tempted to stay with them, since they're one of the licensed teams, and there's something exotic about going with Turks, but I'm going to have to think about this one.
