I'm leaning toward GR 2, too. Those co-op games at the river and the Versus games at Bunkers were sick.
Plus GR 2 wasn't half-bad offline, either.
Take care,
PK

GR 2 all the way, baby. That will be the first Old School Poker Night shooter, and more games can spawn from there if there's interest.
I'm going to post an Old School Poker Night sticky either tonight or tomorrow, as it looks like Rivals could become a Monday fixture until the NFL season starts, Tuesdays can be GR 2, Wednesdays can be TOCA 3, leaving other days open for IndyCar Series 2005, Midtown Madness 3, Links 2004, etc., etc., etc.
The Time Tunnel is alive and well!
Take care,
PK

Yes, seven total attributes for Links. The basic stuff you get for finishing the tutorial, nothing more.
P.S.: Here's a cheat to get all of the courses unlocked right away. When you're in the menu screen, with options for single game, career, etc. showing, press the left trigger, right trigger, X and Y simultaneously (awkward, I know). You'll hear a sound like a thud, and all of the courses will be open!
So, you and Slumber have MM 3. Damn, I need to get it this weekend! Brutal offline game but beyond fun online. It's the NHL Rivals of arcade driving games -- so much fun in a group setting.
Take care,
PK

I don't know what happened tonight guys but I couldn't join your game. I kept trying to send you invites and hoped someone would join me quickly so I could explain but nobody did. I kept getting a message when I tried to join your game that there wasn't enough slots open for me. Maybe you guys were just f***in with me and I didn't realize.
I want in on one of these sessions since I can't play on the Monday poker nights.
After 6 months with a 360 it was very frustrating not being able to invite someone to a quick chat or send a voice message explaining the situation. The 360 definitely blows the hell out of the original Xbox with its Live functionality.

I'm not sure what happened, man. We had six guys -- a full room -- when you first tried to enter.
But then Piggy had to go help with wee Harold, and we had an opening. I sent you an invite, and I know others did, too. It certainly wasn't a case of us f*cking with you. Terry filled that spot, but then we had another opening late and tried to get you in.
But when you couldn't get in and were trying to invite us over to another game, me and a couple other East Coasters saw the clock read 1:20 a.m. and bagged it for the night. Sorry.
We'll do it again soon. It's BIG fun.
Take care,
PK

I have Links and always can be persuaded to play that. I could pick up or rent MM 3 if there's interest in that. You need at least four or five guys for MM 3 to be enjoyable, though, especially on some of the larger maps.
MM 3 is the only Revival game that I wish would catch fire. As Slumber said, that game is too much f*cking fun with a big group on Live. A very brainless game, but sometimes it's really fun just to drive around like an idiot with buddies and laugh your ass off for 90 minutes or so, without a worry at all about sim qualities.
MM 3 and Rivals share similarities: Both are very simple to play and very fun with buddies. Almost have a Nintendo feel to them.
Take care,
PK

I will try to find Links this afternoon. It was one of the first games I bought for the XBox but never gave it a fair shot since I also picked up so many other great games near the same time. I'll probably have to go through the training before playing.pk500 wrote:I have Links and always can be persuaded to play that. I could pick up or rent MM 3 if there's interest in that. The tutorial takes less than 10 minutes. We all play on Expert, with no assists.
When you finish the tutorial, you'll earn the default seven skills points. We all play with just seven skills points -- no more.
Take care,
PK

Piggy......Links is great, relaxing fun online. Lets get a foursome going soon. Who else has it beside me, you and PK? The putting and chipping are what makes or brakes your scores. The approach shots from the green are smewhat easy, but you want to stick it close to the pin, because putting is so hard.

Scoop. Nobody was f*cking with you man. We just already had 6 players and you cant join until there is a open slot. Next time for sure!
Terry hung around for a while and then he got in when Piggy left, so dont give up, but best bet is to get there early to assure a spot
See you next Rivals night.

Sure Dave. Let me know what time to meet you in the Links.
10 EST is usually good for me. Anyone else want to join us,
feel free.
