610 WIP here in Philly is reporting that Eric Moulds has agreed to play for the Houston Texans. I guess Houston stepped up with the cash.

Now all that needs to be done is a trade.

The Dolphins would have had hiim already if they didn't already spend two picks in this years drafts on their two other QBs (Culpepper and Cleo Lemon from SD). I reckon most teams are waiting for him to be released so they don't have to pay his starter salary...then they can pay him whatever they want. Sure, teams can renegotiate with him if they trade for him, but the Dolphins just don't have the picks or the assets to do it right now. We'll see though.

I'm not sure why Millen thinks someone will trade for Harrington. Seems completely illogical for a team to give up anything for a guy whose coach said "he is no longer with us" a couple weeks ago.

WIP's Howard Eskin is reporting that Green Bay's Javon Walker will most certainly be traded. Either the week before the draft or 24-48 hours before the draft.

Nice...Dolphins to sign Harrington (or trade, whichever comes first). Good to have a backup with at least a little experience. Better than Tommy Maddox at least. On par with Frerotte as far as I'm concerned...

They are half way to signing all the qbs that started last season as starters in the NFC central.
Are Grossman and Favre available yet?

Harrington?...hes brutal...Why is he better than Maddox?...younger maybe...Hes been s*** every year in Detroit...having watched him play...I dont see any indication he will be anything but s***...

I've seen every game Harrington played. He's brutal. At least Maddox had 1 good season. Check out Harringtons stats sometime, ugh.

The problem with Maddox is his propensity for the monumental mistake. A disproportionate number of his interceptions seem to get returned for TDs.

He was a good backup for the Steelers and kind of got a raw deal from Pittsburgh fans IMO. Except for a terrible game in 40 mph winds he wasn't *that* bad. Anyone that beat the Browns in a playoff game should get the benefit of the doubt.

I'd pick Maddox over Harrington if I had to win a game or two with a backup next season. Harrington obviously is younger and could potentially turn it around with a change of scenery.

"potential" has been the word thrown around Detroit for 4 years regarding Harrington.

O goodness I hope LaVar doesn't end up a Giant. Go to Miami or something, or KC, or revisit the Green Bay offer!

Ugh. It's like Sam Huff in reverse, I guess.

Now that they have an NFL qb Look for the Lions to score a ton of points this year

Plus they have added an offensive cordinator. Martz may have been a boob as a head coach but as a coordinater his offenses do score and score often.

Because he's better than 90% of the "other" backups around the league. That's all he is...a backup. Would you rather have him, or Sage Rosenfels? Cleo Lemon maybe? Yeah, those were the backups on Miami last year. Worst case, he has to start a few games to begin the year while Dante strengthens the knee. I'm just glad it's not Maddox. That's not based on stats...that's based on my distaste for anyone who "starred" in the XFL.

Billy Joe Hobert may attempt a comeback, if XXXIV is interested. :)

Take care,

Well after a nice return last year...Ricky is done for good now most likely. Year suspension is upheld. Guess the Dolphins have to draft a backup RB now. Someone will give him a shot in '07 though...so we'll see what happens.

Wow.

The Texans sign Mario Williams the night before the draft.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/n ... id=2426003

Think the Saints will be looking to make a "Ricky Williams trade" with another team for the Reggie Bush pick?

Wow, now tomorrow is going to be really interesting. Hopefully the Packers don't end up with Bush.

The Saints will trade the pick. They don't need Reggie...same reason the Texans didn't need him. They both have feature backs that are more than acceptable. The Saints need to trade that pick and get more help on the defensive side of the ball...and they probably should pick a QB anyway, just in case Brees doesn't come back from his injury, a la Pennington.

I think every team needs Reggie.

Try Thinking outside the box....He can be used in so many ways and on so many different plays...He doesnt have to be your feature back this year or the next...He will make plays...He will scare the defense..He will make your team better.

Every team that passes will be kicking themselves later...I remember when people made fun of the Barry sanders pick so early...tsk tsk tsk...Reggie is a once in a lifetime...Barring injury he will be one to remember...

EDIT: Ofcourse he could turn out like Archie Griffin...but I make that pick...and make it fast.
