I know Jack is playing Bode on the PC...and I am too. Not sure if the rest of you guys are playing the PS2 version or the PC version.
Anyway...I'm not a HUGE fan of Bode quite yet because of the floatiness I feel. It's like my guys isn't connected to the snow...and it's also hard to tell when you've messed up because it always seems like you're going the same speed. The graphics are a touch better from a texture standpoint...but I like that SR offers 1920x1200 support whereas Bode only does 1600x1200.
It just seems like SR is a better simulation of the sport because when you mess up, you know it and your times reflect that. The practice runs I made in Bode all seem to end up at about the same time no matter how good/bad I ran (assuming I didn't miss any gates)...where as in SR, my times varied quite a bit depending on how much I screwed up. There is a much smaller margin for error in SR, that's for damn sure.
Anyway...it's fun to be able to run with you guys and compare times though, so I'll live with Bode as long as you guys are doing this. When it's over, I will go back to SR though...it's just a better game. I keep wanting to go back and play it instead of Bode...but then again, I can't compete with you guys if I'm playing a different game.
