lol - just called the Gamestop where i preordered from .. the guy says the computer has no updated info, just that it shipped yesterday & that they would have it sometime NEXT WEEK???? d'oh
Really weird that EB's site shows a ship date of tomorrowm while GS's site says 'ships in 24 hrs' and 'arrived 2/21.' We'll find out later this afternoon when my local GS gets their shipment in.
I didn't get the call from the GS computer yesterday, either. Grr.
As of Monday, the manager at my local EB was telling me it would be here today. Now they are saying Friday at the earliest. I was going to pre order the PC version but didn't. Oh well. None of the EB's close to me even carry new PC games anymore. They have an extremely small shelf of used games and that's it. It's wierd to think that the original EB I used to frequent was literally all PC games and software. There was a very small NES and Genesis section and that was about it for the consoles. Oh well, guess it will be Friday at the earliest.
No call from my EB today indicating my pre-order has arrived. Oh, well: There's plenty of Olympic hockey and Champions League soccer to watch tonight on the bike.
Patience, patience!
Take care,
PK

UPDATE: So, the guy at my local GS told me this title was shipped via UPS ground. Then he said, 'Well, nobody pre-ordered it,' and I said 'No, I pre-ordered it.' He said 'Oh, well I guess since almost nobody pre-ordered it they didn't think it was important to get it here or something. Try back maybe Friday,'
What's with Codemasters not being able to fulfill a release date? Shouldn't they publish the date the game will be available instead of some made-up, hopeful number they pull out of a hat? The release date on this thing has changed at least twice in the last week and a half. Bush league. Meanwhile, FN3 has been sitting on shelves since Tuesday, screaming for my dollars.
They did some very nice tunes to the ability to target specific parts of the body. I had a hard time going from jabs to the head and then mixing up to the body last year, but this year they either refined the controls or the new models and animations made it easier, I'm not sure.
I can tag the head with a jab/hook to the body/jab to the gut/rising uppercut and just unleash pinpoint combos.
i dont think anything got updated either in the computers.. i went in a store by a mall by me ( just for laughs).. asked about TOCA 3.. guy says "i dont know what happened - it shows as released yesterday but havent gotten it at all".. ps - the store also had a used (????) core 360 that had a wireless controller in it
yup.. & i had a good chuckle cause the kid who was buying it was a nerdy, ask all the annoying questions type.. the guy behind the counter must have answered the same question 5 or 6 times...
