Frankly, I'm surprised he even tried the "correct" hole.JRod wrote:This brought to you by a man who is breeding.pk500 wrote:Hershey highway. Rocky road. Brown line. Team Canada arrived in Turin and faces the Italians today. Can't wait until the tournaments picks up steam in the later stages of the Olympics.
#99 got bombarded with questions again about his buddy Tocchet, but I must say he's taking it all quite well. Betting Janet is in Italy too.
I pick Canada, Sweden and the Russians to be in the medals.

Don't know if this got cleared up yet, but:
NBC promises to show every hockey game live on MSNBC or USA (also on Universal HD
), though they may have highlights on some nights' prime-time package on the big channel. All team USA games, men and women, are shown with no commercial breaks except between periods.

Yep, my DVR is set for damn near all day recording hockey. I'll just pick the games I want, a la carte.
Man, I gush over the DVR a lot, but it's been absolutely ace during this Olympics. I record every evening's prime-time show and watch bits and bobs of events I like, zipping through everything else. I also record stuff I like during the day, too.
Take care,

Is there a conspiracy against team Canada? I would say so. First it's Gretzky's wife and the betting affair with Tocchet.
Now T. Bertuzzi faces a 15 million lawsuit from the infamous incident with S. Moore.
Now, the civil suit was always there, but it's the perfect timing of the lawsuit that will distract the team as if it hasn't yet with the Gretzky affair.

Boys:
You've got to admit it took some serious stones for Lindsey Kildow to ski in the women's downhill yesterday after that serious crash just 48 hours before. The girl was in the hospital and left to race.
My hero! Plus she's cute.

Absolutely. One of those stories that reminds you of why the Olympics mean something.pk500 wrote:Boys:

Lindsey grew up skiing on Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN (Twin Cities suburb) so her story is a big one up here.

OK, inquiring minds want to know: Does curling really grab big ratings? I ask because every time I turn on USA, curling is on. It seems to be the third-most televised sport of the Olympics behind skiing and figure skating.

Honestly it's got to be the most boring event around - you can tell by the crowds (or lack thereof).
Gotta agree with Paul on the DVR. This is the first Olympics I've enjoyed in a LONG time since I can zip past all the puff pieces and idiotic Costasicms. I have a feeling Mary Carillo cringes every time she gets paired with Bob.
My parents watch curling and figure skating WHENEVER it is on, olympic or not. Olympic curling is huge to them, and to alot of their friends. My older sisters and their hubbies all watch it too. Most of them curl in rec leagues. It's a fairly popular game here in Canada. Dwarfed by hockey.. but popular nonetheless.
I grew up watching these things with my parents. To this day I cannot tolerate figure skating at all, but I can sit and watch curling and enjoy it
(although I don't do it very often... too many other things going on.)
My 5 year old enjoys watching curling too. He's never seen it or heard of it until this olympics, but he's quite into it when we watch it.
