What a cruel way to go out. First he thinks he's safe when he goes to the couch, then is a victim of a pysch job when ryan doesn't finish his 'ive got bad news' sentence to anthony. Savol shouldn't have been celebrating and waited for the sentence to end. That's tv for you.

Bo should win but if Carrie wins it' wouldn't surprise me. Bo's rendition of the Los Lonely Boys Heaven song a few weeks ago was better than the group. Clive Davis sure wants him to win.

Bo already has a record deal whether he wins or not. I think it's time for a different American Idol than the calculated pop stars they've been spitting out and Bo is different enough to fit that bill.

You guys see that Bo has a rap sheet for Cocaine possession, public intoxication, multiple drug busts, etc? He was up front with the show from the beginning, so he is able to stay.

But dude is a rocker through and through. The Smoking Gun had a list of things that he had been picked up for. I find it comical that the possible "American Idol" could be a guy who rebounded from tons of problems.

Yes, the talent level this year has been much better than last year's show. Much more of a variety of singers. If Vonzell was in this competition last year, I think she would have won. I'll be rooting for Bo.

So who do you guys think did better tonight? I want bo but after tonight I think Carrie will win. She did overall slightly better tonight imo. Bo just didn't seem to have the same energy as he always does tonight, almost like he had stage fright. Carrie came out like she wanted it more.

I totally disagree. Carrie was horrible tonight with the exception of a few strong notes and the cover song. She has absolutely no stage presence and she hasn't found her voice yet. The only song she sang well tonight was the cover song and that's only because she just does an impersonation. The 2 songs that were originals totally stumped her because she didn't have anyone to impersonate. If she wins it's because she is hot as hell and can hit some strong notes. The better overall performer is Bo Bice. In my mind he won that competition when he sang that Badlands song without the band.

What was up with the song selections tonight?! Bo's second song was the only one I really liked, and that I felt really fit him, and Carrie's only good one was the last one. She slaughtered 'Independence Day'...

If it isn't Bo tomorrow night, then it'll follow an all too familiar pattern where second place outsells first in the music stores...

I actually liked that first song Bo did. When he first started, I told my wife that was a bad song for him, but as it went on and he put more emotion into it, I started to get cold chills.

Agreed about "Vehicle"...great song and perfect for his voice and style.

I want Bo to win and I think he is definitely the best and have thought so for a long time. For some reason, though I think the girl will win...not because she is better, but because she appeals more to the type of person that votes on these shows. I'm not sure if they give the vote totals, but it would not surprise me if it's not even close.

The bottom line is that Bo will still get a record deal as will 3 or 4 others. I just hope that they don't American Idolize Bo's record because this dude deserves to be singing rock, not the pop schlock that guys like Clay Aiken and Ruben do.

I didn't really care for either of the original songs. The were both weak. Of course they'll sell because of the AI branding. Bo is very well polished and I have no doubts he'll do well after this exposure, he'd probably be better off without the AI "winner" title.

Carrie needs this win more than Bo, she has a lot of raw talent, but needs some time to develop more. I think AI would prefer to give us another sweetheart although I think the rocker Bo has improved AIs appeal.

In any case, this season outside of Scott was a lot better than the mess of the whining, Macy Gray wanna be Fantasier..

Whoever writes those "original" songs should be shot. They are awful and torture to listen to. Neither finalist can hold a candle to Kelly Clarkson vocally and I wouldn't buy either's CD. Bo is nothing special......he belongs fronting a Southern rock Skynrd-like band and
that chick is a country bumpkin who is a dime a dozen. That said, I want Bo to win cause he isn't a typical "Clay Aiken" - ish pop singer.

Haha...that's what I've been saying ever since the first AI was completed. Kelly was the one true American Idol...the rest have been also-rans. But after meeting Carrie in a resturant...I have to say, she's pretty freakin' hot though. I will give her that.

Wow, is Jack the new DB? Country bumpkin? Class Jack. All class.

I thought Bo was an Allman Brothers clone at first too until I heard his take on Color of Money, which was just downright fantastic. His acapella song last week was also extremely good. Some of Bo's stuff is the only music from any AI season that I would even remotely consider putting in my car rotation. All of the other stuff from Kelly to Fantasia to Rueben and Clay I find mind numbingly boring.

I don't know...I feel like Bo has the momentum over Carrie. He seems to be more popular, at least in the audience. He's different-that's what I like, and what many people seem to like about him.

Oh, and don't be knockin' Southern Fried Rock, bro! I love some Skynrd, ZZTop, Steve Miller Band, and the Allman Brothers...

I think a lot of it is going to boil down to who picks up Vonzel's votes.

I'd call last night a wash and to be honest I don't think last nights performances will really have an effect on how the voting would have gone down anyway.

you're right Bill.....I just re-read what I wrote and it didn't sound good. I meant that "mediocore country singers" are a dime a dozen.....no offence to all you other "country bumpkins" out there. Is "country bumpkin" considered offensive? If it is, chalk it up to my ignorance. I certainly didn't mean it that way and my next door neighbor/close friend
is as country as they come and we are good friends. Maybe I'll ask him.

p.s. to Teal......I loved southern rock while in my early 20's! Skynrd, ZZ Top, Outlaws, Molly Hatchet and Allman Bros. put out some good music back in the day.

I agree with most of you, the songs really sucked last night. Thats why I think Carrie will probably win, those songs were slow and more towards her talent then bo's. Thinking back, Bo maybe was bummed out singing those lame songs.

And southern rock still rocks man. It's probably more popular today across the country then it was when it was new. Thats really the main reason I've watched this show this year, for Bo Bice and his revival of rock in the pop genre. Thats why maybe if Bo doesn't win it's a blessing in disguise. That way he doesn't get stuck with these lame songs that the idol producers will force the winner to sing on their next album.
