What? Do you have selective amnesia or something?

<<sorry.....I have been holding onto my #1 waiver pick since the start of the season and I am not taking this back now. Mistakes are mistakes....just live with it.>>

Those were your exact words on the league page. That right there says "I don't care what DB stated, I'm taking him anyways". How can one jump to conclusion from that post? You saw DBs post about leaving him alone, and yet you still had to try and get him. The whole "before anyone else did" is a load of crap.

If you you picked him up without seeing DBs post about leaving him alone I wouldn't have a problem with your explaination. Because of the post on the league board I can see that you're just being dishonest, first when you tried to get him, and now when you are coming up with an explaination for your actions.

Ryan Wagner ERA: INF WHIP: INF

That's a quick ticket to bootsville.

Second to 11th this week, I've turned into Dusty Baker.

OOOF!! I had one of those early in the year. Don't worry about your position yet. This early in the season we're all floating up and down (except for SF_Z, who just keeps floating higher). Once we get into July it gets hard to move up or down much.

Then why did you say a mistake is a mistake...deal with it? Obviously you knew about it or you wouldn't have said that. You are completely full of sh*t.

I said that in reply to the original post by Matt. I already admitted I shouldn't have taken him and already traded him back to Matt, so let it go. I don't know what else you want from me. You just can't back off and leave things alone, can you? You have to prove how superior you are to everyone by adding on the insults. You got your wish, I am out of your league, so just leave me alone.

Oh man, this has turned from frustrating to semi-amusing.

Jack, was THAT what that trade was for? You're trying to trade Madson back to me, not Harden. See how easy it is to get the wrong guy  I dropped Madson from my team weeks ago (and intentionally). Just checked, it was April 30th I dropped Madson.

How could you have posted a new message to the league a day AFTER DBs post and not notice it? They post link and the message list are 1/4" away from each other? That's why we don't believe you when you say you didn't know. That, and the tone of message.

look....I dont know when this turned into the crime of the century. I made one mistake and Db jumps all over me with his stupid name calling.
I am not going to keep repeating myself. I tried to trade him back to you Matt and i guess I screwed that one up as well. Either way that Yahoo interface is confusing. You guys can think what you want....I never intentionally meant to screw up anyone's team and I wasn't closely monitoring the board about this until late yesterday. I am done with this topic.

Should have known better. There is no way I should have assumed something run by DB would be enjoyable for long.

After all the crap we just went through, DB just makes a lopsided trade with a dead team. What a bunch of crap.

I just sent an email to Tim clarifying myself...here is the gist of it. Now if EVERYONE thinks it's unfair, I'll take it back, but I doubt every single person will.

I sent a trade request to three teams, all with three closers on their roster (note, three closers, not two, not one). I also made sure I didn't request the BEST closer on their team. The guy I traded with has DOTEL and HOFFMAN...what the hell does he need with a third? He needed WINS, which El Duque has 5, along with a nice 2.91 era.

Two people declined, and one accepted. I do not pay attention to the activity of anyone's teams besides my own, so the fact that his team seems DEAD is irrelavant to me since I never even looked at it besides to see who was on his roster.

If you guys still think that's unfair, I'll drop him...but I just don't see it.

DB made a trade proposal to my team, I think it was Lyon(ARZ) for Hernandez(CWS).

I rejected as I need power and RBI's

Last month I made a big trade proposal to TMoneyPeeps and after 2 weeks, it was rejected by Yahoo because he never responded. Take that for what it is worth.

Who the heck is TMoney anyway?....What DSP name is he?

Ryan is the closer for a winning team. El Duque is overrated. Here is what Yahoo has on him.

"May 12 Hernandez once again struggled with his control, but held the Devil Rays to two runs over 6 1/3 innings to win his fifth game of the year."

"Recommendation: He looks like a great 'sell high' candidate to us -- although his ERA is 2.91, his WHIP is an ugly 1.50 thanks to an uncharacteristic 20 walks in 43 1/3 IP. Trade him now, before those walks start coming back to haunt him."

Mind you, this trade was with a guy that has made ZERO moves. He has not bothered to start a SS once, and has not adjusted his lineup, ever. What are the odds of Hernandez ever starting for his team?

It's a joke, and DB knows it. WTF would you say if I started hitting Jack up for trades?

trade doesnt bother me a bit

but im apparently kinda thinking along the lines of zec

(by the way Z speaking of turtles keep and eye on the manatees they have been on the move lately the aniversary of my claiming first place last year is just 2 weeks away)

and for the "Record" DB has done a fine job with this League for 2 years he dealt with the cards that were on the table and being a commish of many leagues in the past as well as my current local football league for many many years......sometimes you have to make a tough decision

now as for his sharpe tongue i would never defend that we are much different in that reguard but do consider all those braves division titles with only one ring, rickey williams walking away,a infamous call in a past fiesta bowl, his soldier constantly being injured ,and 101 forza threads,so on and so forth ....the guy has alot of stress to relieve

and i rather see him vent day in day out then read another I WILL LEAVE IF post from parker anyday of the week

and who knows if Amare comes through in June

we may have a gentler kinder DB right around the corner

ok maybe not

ps....nice grand slam by Laroche a minute or two ago

I agree that it was not the worst trade ever, but it bothered me that I missed the pending trade message. I may have just missed it, but I am messing with my team a lot, and I thought I would have seen it.

Then I saw who it was with, and it really rubs me the wrong way. I do check other teams to see what they are doing. Seems weird to me that the guy can't be bothered to start a SS for the entire season, or even adjust his lineup or rotation even once, but he can all of a sudden send a closer to a top team.

I agree, this is supposed to be fun. But it's not. I think DB treats people like crap AND has done a poor job keeping things on track. It's freaking May, and I'm already sick of it. I don't trust DB and the cliques that get going on the DSP board. Why spend a season thinking that people are playing unfair?

I know...I was there...too bad Bradley hit one in the bottom of the inning to win it for the Dodgers. Ouch.

As for Jayhawk...if you're sick of me, and sick of the league, fine, leave...but there is nothing fishy about what I did. I offered it up to a few people and someone bit, how can you criticize that? And it was on the "waiting for approval" at the top of my screen for a day. If someone wanted to veto or vote against it, you had your chance.

And how have I don't a poor job keeping things on track? All I deal with every year is someone f'ing up the league. Last year, Javi dropped his entire team and it took me three days to get the whole damn thing sorted out. This year, we got people dropping players and then saying it was a mistake and then I go to try to fix it and be helpful and people just jump down my goddamn throat. Being commish of a league is a thankless job. I do it because it's fun...we put a few bucks on it to keep people interested...no one is going to get rich. But it's just like the saying goes...no one gives a sh*t about what you do when things are running smooth, only when there is stuff to complain about. No matter what I do, someone is going to disagree...and it's bullsh*t.

So leave, it's cool...I can understand where you're coming from. If you don't like me...nothing I do is going to be acceptable to you...regardless of what it is. It really has nothing to do with the person or the moves I made...its just because you hate me. If it were Cincy or Zek...would you have bitched to the high heavens? I think not.

Wow I just popped into this thread for the first time. You guys take your fantasy baseball pretty seriously 'round these parts. It's almost like you might be taking this stuff just a bit too seriously. ;)

Not a big deal to get locked out, as I had already benched my rosters. But I find it interesting the you specifically deleted the posts about how you made a deal with your friend, even though he was tanking his team.

Gone are all the details of how he took the time to send you a closer, but still never got around to adjusting his lineup. You claim he needs wins, yet he has failed to use Suppan or Milton once this year. The guy had zero holds, yet 12 are sitting on his bench. Zero starts at SS, despite having the guys to fill his lineup.

Two owners reject your offer of a suspect starter for a closer, yet this "friend" takes the time to ok this deal. He can't be bothered to repond to anyone else, but you were able to talk to him on the phone. You never did answer my question. Did "he" approve the trade, or just give you his logon so you could do it yourself?

You can call me "filth", but the the stench is coming from the slime running the league. There is no way someone can look at what you've done and not conclude that you are gaming the system, unless they are part of your old boys network.

Enjoy your little fiefdom.

So why not answer the questions? Why not speak up when Pigpen asks who this Tmoney guy is? Did you actually logon as Tmoney to approve the trade?

Why lock me out of trading? Apparently you have no problem with dead teams making deals. How come the infamous Tmoney has not poked his head out? Are YOU Tmoney?

Seems like you just got ruid of the guy asking the questions you don't want to answer.
