it's weird. I score more on 10 than 09 when I play against the cpu by myself, yet they still seem more satisfying. in 09, I often felt I got lucky. after only a few days, I can say I definitely like the gameplay better on this version of PES (on ps3).

I was hoping arsenal being out of forwards could be remedied by solid attack from midfield, but it didn't look that way saturday. sunderland was lucky to score, but still, this had a scoreless draw feel to it.

one of my biggest sports pet peeves is when a goalkeeper has the captain's armband.

Technically yes, but much less likely to draw attention and a whistle than an elbow to the chops. It did still look like a foul to me, which is why Henry's embellishment didn't rile me up too much.

I love mls. I'm glad it's here. I go to probably 10-15 games a year.

that said, I agree with what bruce arena said after the cup that for usa to succeed, our players have to succeed in europe. they just can't get to a world cup level playing in mls.

I'm most pissed about their decision to show college baseball super regional on espn June 12 at 11 am instead of the USA/Czech World Cup match (on espn2).

world cup happens every 4 years, and usa may have only 3 matches. It's not even the college world series yet!
