Do you mean DVR? I can't really help as I just rent one from Comcast, but you may want to change the topic. Isn't a DVD recorder something different?

I think costco sells no-name brand DVD Recorders for around $150, but I wouldn't touch those with a 10-foot pole.

Are you talking about a set-top box or one in your PC that you can transfer shows from your Tivo to?

You are right, but it's gonna cost you at least 3 bills if you want a decent one.

walmart $99-$150 and for that price who cares as long as it works. i'll edit this as i find the info and reviews for you.
* the cheapest but junky(trash) it will work but has issues, since you can afford in your budget then skip this one it was just to show you the cheapest

*better but a little more $$, probably the best for the buck around

Cotsco has a Cyberhome model for $110 and a Lite-on(they make nice PC drives) model for $130.

I'll be checking for your post kicko.

The Lite on LVW 5005 is a decent recorder for the price.
I have no problems with mine.

I agree, but when compared to Cyberhome...it's a no brainer.
