OT: Spurrier predictions...

Post by Jared »

Did anyone out there watch Spurrier´s debut against the Cards? What did you think?

And after this game, how do you think he´ll do for the rest of the season. I´m predicting a 10-6 season and an NFC wild-card.

8-8 or 9-7, possible back-door wild-card.

The win came by eight against Arizona, after all. That´s nothing to get frothy and catch playoff fever over.
Take care,

Washington’s schedule is pretty tough this year. I predict a 9-7 finish at best. They may be able to go 4-2 or 3-3 in the division, but the games at Green Bay, at Tennessee, and at SF look real tough and I could see a split of the games at Jacksonville and Seattle. They should beat HST, but a sweep of the remaining non-division home games is unlikely (New Orleans, Indianapolis, and St. Louis).

Yeah.....9-7 seems to be the consensus pick for the ´Skins. But with that defense, I really think they can pull a few upsets and bump up to 10-6. The big test is the game against Phillly next week (I can´t wait).

Arizona looked decent, but their defense is nothing special. If they win this one, then I think 10-6 (or better) is likely.

I say no better than 7-9. I´m actually thinking 6-10.

Why 6-10? That´s worse than they did last year under Schottenheimer.

I dunno. I just don´t see Spurrier being successful. I could be wrong(and probably will). Usually the highly touted College coach doesn´t succeed in the pros.

10-6 playoff bound......beyond that who knows depends on how the matchups work out in the playoffs but i dont see them getting deeper than round 2... theres too much talent stephen davis, rod gardner, derirus thompson, keith lockett, and that defense with marvin lewis calling the shots

lavar arrington about to become clearly one of the best linebackers in the game.....

living here in florida in spurriers backyard i can understand why people can be annoyed with this guy and because of that wish failure upon him...but honestly this team has the talent and the coaching to accomplish 10-6 and no less

i willsay they may be a bit warn out come playoff time if spurrier keeps pissing off other head coaches and causing opponents to play at a fever pitch against them all year

as for the eagles.....i like them alot but they will have there hands full tonight and december 15th

oh and by the way arizona is an improved team this year so the redskin win is a little more impressive than might be thought at first glance after all they have a legit offense with the offensive line leading the way for a quickly emerging thomas jones ...and freddie jones ,david boston give jake plummer some great targets.....the cardinals should benifit quite a bit from getting free of the dominant defenses of the former NFC EAST
