OT: Give Google maps a try if you haven't checked it out

Post by sportdan30 »

http://maps.google.com/

The satellite feature, while nothing revolutionary is pretty cool. I can actually make out my house as well as my neighbors. Other satellite images offered from other websites have been rather shoddy to say the least.

Just read an article about this new function over at CNN.

Cool!

Type in this address in satellite view, and you'll get a very cool view of a place that is incredibly special to me and millions of other racing fans:

4790 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222

Take care,
PK

That's huge! I zoomed all the way in and could really pick up a lot of the cool features in and around the race track.

That's cool.

Type in 7040 High Grove Boulevard Burr Ridge Illinois and you'll see where I'm at right now.

Pretty large building. Is there a factory inside?

Scoop,

If I worked that close to The Patio, I'd have bbq sauce for blood and weigh 375lbs :)

I don't understand why this is raising concerns. I've seen at least two other websites with the same feature.

This will come in handy. I was able to show a friend just now where I grew up.
