Before the Internet, you used to see quips from these famous columnists quoted on your local newspaper. Guys sounded smart and funny but in person, they probably don't come up with such lines.
It's mostly SAS type of clowning around, yelling to make your points.
Hmm, it would be so easy to read Boswell, Lupica and others on the web but just don't feel that compelled to.

The guy who wrote this article is an obvious idiot.
More than half of the writers he mentions in his piece are still excellent writers. And obviously he hasn't noticed that Kornheiser had pretty much given up writing serious pieces some time ago.
Maybe he should do some research before he actually writes something. Isn't that what a "serious" writer is supposed to do?
