My wife came home with a Bush-Cheney sign last night and planted it in the front yard today. Hey, f*ck that -- I'm standing up for Michael Badnarik, so I went to his Web site and downloaded a yard sign and put it up next to the Bush-Cheney sign.
The Frau and I just laughed about our divided political loyalties and had our daughter take a shot of us rooting on our respective boys:
At least we agree on the same football team. Note the insignia on the Frau's pullover.
Take care,
PK

good for you PK. Truth is, even after this election is decided we will all be under the same guy and we all have to get along no matter who and which party's are in charge. I just want what's best for America.
good ol Sheila...we can't wait to see you guys. My wife and I just had this talk at dinner. She wants to put up a Kerry sign and I said no signs at all in the yard. Another funny story:
We had a few friends over last Saturday. One couple is conservatove, the other liberal. Somehow politics came up, how I don't know, cause I usually don't allow politics or religion at the dinner table or while drinking...it is always bad news. Well the liberal couple got all flustered for no reason really. The woman said she was moving to Canada, started crying, and they left. WTF.
I've seen Carol, man: You're right, we definitely both married up.
As for raking, yeah, the leaf blower will be warmed up -- and so will my kid's arms to help out -- once the rain stops here today and the leaves get a chance to dry. But hell, only about half of the leaves have fallen, so it will be another leaf orgy next weekend, too.
Take care,
PK

Good root systems? Good ground water? I don't know. We have a massive maple in the backyard that sometimes doesn't shed all of its leaves until close to Thanksgiving. Many years those leaves fall on snow.
It's the hardiest tree in the neighborhood, by far. Have no explanation.
