holy crap - 19 and counting. well, at least red sox don't have to endure the long nail biting series like last year - a quick death instead.

I'm pretty disappointed. A real playoff team holds the other team to 0 runs and tries to scratch out 1 run to win. The damn Yankees pound the ball all over the park and score 19 runs, it's clear the Bombers weren't built for the playoffs!

I got my issue of Sports Illustrated on Thursday, guess who SI picked to win this year's World Series? Yep, the Red Sox. I guess putting Schilling on the cover a few weeks ago wasn't curse enough, hahaha, double whammy.

I guess we won't be seeing Resin/Parker for the next few days, hopefully at least a week. Too bad, I wanted to let him know that the 2004 Red Sox will go down in history as the most overhyped and overrated team in playoff history. Just wait until next April the first time the Red Sox take 2 of 3 from the Yanks, it'll be "This is our year" all over again.

The Red Sox won't win the world series until the can win the division. If you can beat the Yankees and the rest of the AL in 162 games there' no way you are going to do it in 7. Only way the Sox get in it is if another team steps up and takes out the Yankees in the first round.

I'm just glad the media will start paying Bunsen Adobo the proper respect. I mean, those two innings will make sure Brisbane Archipelago's name is etched in the annals of postseason play.

Way to go, Bebop Agogo!

Suppose Pedro is still wearing goggles and a trash can in the locker room?

And on a slightly different note, who is the favorite heading into the Series? The Cardinals had the best record in baseball, but I have a hard time believing the Yankees won't be heavy favorites after this demolition.

Should be a good Series. I'm looking forward to it.

Keep your heads up Boston fans. There's no shame in being the second best team money can buy.

They have no pitching when it counts, and the "Rally Midget" just isn't getting it done

IF the Cards get past the Astros I think they will murder the Yankee pitching. Leiber? Kevin "My back hurts" Brown? Mussina? the Cards will beat them senseless. But.............I'm still not confident in StL's pitching either. Sheffield was in the NL and knows these guys pretty well and boy is he carrying a hot stick now. Should be a great series

The only white person in history who looked good in cornrows was Bo Derek in "10." The only one.

Take care,

Parker:

Are the Sox still having fun?

Red Sox Top 10 To Do List for This Week:

1. Clean out lockers.

2. Deny The Curse.

3. Moan about how next year will be different.

4. Ensure they don't need to use check No. 1918 for any bill paying, as they'll have plenty of time to catch up from the hubub of the playoffs.

5. Golf.

6. Pimp their rides.

7. Find new threads for the midget.

8. Find a pool that Pedro can rent so he can swim laps for offseason conditioning while wearing those goggles, filling the pool with Jeri-Curl without sliming the rest of the pool customers.

9. Locate you on your business trip before you become a new cast member on "Lost."

10. Start a High Heat franchise with the Sox, as the virtual world is the only one in which Boston has a chance to win the World Series.

Out,
PK

As a Twins fan, I'm glad to see Dougie Mientkiewicz showing his true colors again, bitching about playing time. Yes Doug, I'm sure your .230 BA is just what the Dr. ordered.

Good article on espn.com today in the 2nd guessing column talking about how the Sox/Yankees deal is played out. As one of the guys said, "the whole Red Sox thing has jumped the shark."

Which is worse, Parker and his ridiculous predictions, or the million and one Yankee fans piling on him who didn't have the balls to make their own prediction? I think I still need more time to think...

I don't think everyone that's piling on is a Yankee fan. Just can't resist slapping an arrogant Parker around a bit.

And it really doesn't take balls to make a sports related prediction unless you actually play for the team your barking about.

I disagree, if you plan on sticking around to face the music then it takes balls to make a prediction. If you turn out wrong, your credibility takes a hit and vice versa. Now, I don't think any less of Parker's baseball knowledge simply because he let his heart think instead of his head, but in the future it will be hard to take him seriously when he talks about the Red Sox and their chances of winning. That's a real effect.
And if it doesn't take any balls to make a prediction, why didn't the Yankees fans make any?

Um, the future? We don't take him seriously NOW. He's got 27 pages worth of 'predictions' that were made with facts, allegedly. That's not speaking with your heart...that's being led astray by facts and stats that are thrown out the window once the playoffs start. He's a ridiculous joke. He was last year at this time and he came back for more this season. We put up with 3 weeks of worthless Red Sox threads just for the two weeks of peace and quiet when he gets another baseball shoved up his ass by the Yankees. We're gonna start calling him Jenna Jamison...cuz dude's has been taking it every damn year.
