...how to decrease interceptions, specifically those that the CPU throws? Seems I can't get a game without my Bears secondary getting 2-4 picks. I tried lowering INTs to zero, but I still get too many.
Anyone else still having this problem? Thought maybe there was a magical slider configuration that I missed that someone knew of.

Nope........This appears to be one of those flaws that cant be made to go away.AJColossal wrote:...how to decrease interceptions, specifically those that the CPU throws? Seems I can't get a game without my Bears secondary getting 2-4 picks. I tried lowering INTs to zero, but I still get too many.

Really? Wow, why does that seem a bit high to me?TRI wrote:Each team in the NFL averages around two interceptions a game so it is a little high, but close to realistic.
Good to know, thanks!

Edit: After looking it up, the Bears intercepted 15 balls last year, so it's closer to an average of one a game, if you're talking about this secondary.

In my franchise, each team is averaging around two interceptions per game. The Miami Dolfins (CPU controlled team) have the most with 37 through ten games.

As much as I HATE Miami, that's not out of the realm of possibility for that backfield. It's killer.
There are two almost-certainties with me in ESPN NFL: I can't throw against Miami's DB's, and I can't run on Urlacher's side of the field.
Take care,
PK

Um, no. So each NFL team throws 32 picks per season? That's not even close to reality. Last year the team with the most picks had 29 and Denver only had nine the entire season. Detroit led the league in INTs thrown with 24 while New Orleans (Brooks) only tossed eight. So this two per game thing doesn't fly; it's the #1 problem with ESPN's gameplay.TRI wrote:Each team in the NFL averages around two interceptions a game so it is a little high, but close to realistic.

I'm not seeing the number of INTs you guys are with the slider turned down to about 5. Of course, I use the Colts who suck on D. A couple of suggestions: modify sliders for less pressure on CPU QB and/or play more man coverage, which should theoretically result in fewer picks.Bill_Abner wrote:Um, no.
