DSP NCAA XBox League begins!
The schedules and teams are up. If you still want a team and are not on the team list, let me know and I'll post a schedule for your team. (JamesE...I'm waiting on a PM from Javi to see if you've got ND or Syracuse.)
How to "Claim" your team:
Click on DSP Leagues on the menu bar on the left. Then click on Standings. Find your team in the standings and click on them. When you do that, there should be a link that says "I'm the Captain". If you are the "captain" of the team, click on this link. That'll officially confirm that you have a team. Once I've confirmed that you, indeed, are the captain, then you can start putting game results in. I'll give instructions for that later (though it's pretty self-explanatory).
How to view your schedule:
Click on DSP Leagues and then click on Standings. Find your team in the standings and click on them. Then click on schedule. This will show all of your team's games (excluding bowls/playoffs) this season.
How to report a game:
On your schedule, you'll notice that there's an arrow at the end of the row. If you place your mouse over the arrow, it says "update". Click on this arrow. It will give you the game. Enter the score, both the final score and score by quarters. You can also add a match report (it's next to your team's roster). Also, if people want, you can put in game statistics here. Though we still need to decide if you want to or not.
Also, you can put in the date of the game, and it will put the game in the section for games played this week, this season, etc. To do so, click the checkmark and add the date. Please do NOT delete games (using the X). I'll do that if necessary.
How to play a game:
You can use this thread to schedule games with others. Just post when you'll be on. There is no set order for playing games. The goal is to get one game a week in for the next 10 weeks, but if you get 5 games in this week or one in the next two weeks, it won't be a problem. The best place to meet other players would be the DSP room on NCAA (username/password: dsp/dsp).
Games will be played on the default online settings (five minute quarters, All-American, Home Field Advantage ON). "Cheesy" play will not be tolerated, and players reported to be "cheesy" by multiple players will be kicked out of the league.
We should get an NCAA Gamenight up to try and gather and get games in. Anyone have a night they prefer for this?
Are there any questions? If not, enjoy the league. And if you have any problems with reporting scores, etc., let me know.

Did I miss something Jared? I thought I had Florida State and that would make my first game against Florida, which is you also. I remember posting first in the thread that I wanted Florida State and would take NC State as an alternate. Again, unless I missed something, I was never told to take an alternate. No huge deal, I just want to know who I have.Danimal wrote:Ok so from what I can tell my first game is against Florida and that is you Jared.
Um what are the rules? What level are we playing on All American I assume. Will HFA be on?
Do we have a certain amount of time to play each game (like a week for example)?
Sorry if I missed all this somewhere.
You've got Florida State. I've just confirmed it in the Captain's module. I put in Florida's games first in the schedule (followed by Alabama, followed by FSU), so Florida will turn up on the top of most Division 1 schedules. However, the order in which you play your games does not matter. You can start against Virginia Tech, then play LSU, and then play Alabama. The order on the season schedule does not matter. This gives you flexibility to get in league games when you catch the other league member online.Badgun wrote:

Let me know if you have other questions.
Also, do people want to put in basic stats or not? The software keeps track of this stuff, so I can set it up IF people want to put in basic game stats (passing yards, rushing yards, turnovers, etc.) as part of reporting games.
Some of this was up before, but I added some new stuff. Here's what you're interested in:Danimal wrote:Ok so from what I can tell my first game is against Florida and that is you Jared.

Scott, probably like 11:30 Central Time (guess that's 9:30 your time).dbdynsty25 wrote:What time you thinkin' about playing Steve? I've got ya on my schedule so lets do it.
I have not gone online yet with NCAA. How would we hook up? I might also need to change my gamertag (long story). If you PM or email me your phone number, I can call you and let you know about my gamertag and set up a time to play. What do you think?

Do the lobbies have names?dbdynsty25 wrote:NCAA is pretty easy to get online with. There are online lobbies and you can just go chill in there. Let me know your gamertag and I'll hop on at 9:30 and look for ya.
I won't know if my gamertag hs changed until later tonight. That is why I suggested calling you. I can't take care of the gamertag while here at work. Plus I've been getting "heat" from the boss. So if you want, let me know your number and I'll call you later with my gamertag (or if you want my number, you can call me). Let me know. Thanks buddy.
From the old thread (If your gamertag is different from your DSP tag, post it and I'll change this accordinglyDanimal wrote:I'll be on about 10 Central time, so if someone wants a game let me know.

What happened buddy? I waited for a half hour and then played some random guy. He played with FSU and beat me 13-10. I almost pulled off a miracle comeback, only to have my QB fumble the ball away.dbdynsty25 wrote:NCAA is pretty easy to get online with. There are online lobbies and you can just go chill in there.
