Tiger Woods 2003 - Crashes

Hey all,
 
 Was bored this weekend so I went back to playing TW2003 this weekend (after several months away from it). Since I last played a patch came out (v1.1). I installed it, but now I´m finding that about 2 of every 3 attempts to launch the game fail.
 
 The EA logo plays and the intro starts, but as soon as I click to bypass it I end up with a blank screen with just the mouse cursor (I can close the program through Task Manager so it´s not completely locked up).
 
 I can live with it, since the third time is usually the charm and the game runs fine from there, but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I have not had this problem since upgrading to 1.1. Didn´t have it before either.

Ah well. Since the game runs fine once I get to the main menu it´s a problem I can live with. If I weren´t a lazy SOB I´d reinstall. <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_wink.gif">

 Actually, I hadn´t seen your nick prior to selecting this one. Someone running a Wings fans site mocked up a movie poster a while back based on Kevin Smith´s Chasing Amy (great flick), only it was called Chasing Stanley and featured the Stanley Cup.
