How some guy has 00.86 at Texas Speedway is a joke.

No doubt, and now that I've finally gotten the hang of it (somewhat) it is eating up way too much of my free time.
Online, though, is a crapshoot. Using the quickmatch, I've run into wayy too many people running backwards, including a bunch of bozos padding their points by taking out everyone but one car. Every so often I'll happen across one with a host that maintains a decent race, but more often I end up with a bunch of grade-school kids, which given the sim nature of the game I never would have expected.
I really have to try making one of the DS poker nights. When I first got the game I lasted exactly one race the only time I joined and ended up nailing everyone in the first turn.

Lads,
When I was done being excited that my Time Trial best in an F Ford at Vallelunga would stick me in the top 20 on the list, I got to wondering how some of those times are achieved. What is it that people do on XBox Live that leads to them recording a 37.90 at Vallelunga while I sit in the 1:12 region? Some sort of loophole in the timing system or something?
Cheers,
Adam
