Whilst the hardware is no different than the original N-Gage, the keyboard layout is completely different and looks rather cool. On the rear of the device (taped up) appears to be a camera lense. It will play original N-Gage games.


No more Sidetalkin btw, you can see the speaker and mic on the front of the phone - Booooyaaa! Also, if you look in the bottom left of the display you will see "CAMERA", so we're gonna take a stab in the dark here and guess that Nokia have upped the specs on N-Gage 2!

All the details for N-Gage 2 have been released 24 hours ahead of the annoucement from Nokia. Per the leaked photo's from last week, the key design faults of the original model have been drastically overhauled: the 'deck no longer requires the user to remove the battery to insert games; instead, you insert and remove game cards via a slot at the bottom of the phone, protected with a rubber guard.

The big news is that Nokia will be selling both devices Side-by-Side!

While the new design looks more gamer friendly than original, this revamped version of the N-Gage has sacrificed some of the functionality of the original deck. The MP3 player and radio have been removed from this latest version.

The new N-Gage is smaller but less slender than last year's model, while the rubber casing should make the deck both more comfortable to hold and also more durable.

N-Gage's vertical screen remains, though this screen can display 65,000 colours - the original N-Gage could only manage 4096. All games will be compatible with both versions of the N-Gage, however.

The keyboard layout remains similar to the first unit, though there's now a separate 'select' button to the side of the D-pad.

Crucially, where the original unit required mortified users to clamp the phone to their ear at a side-on angle - a phenomenon dubbed "Sidetalking" and universally derided - the new model handles like a regular mobile. Nokia will make the full announcement about the new N-Gage tomorrow.

For all of those who cry "screw nokia, I got ripped off", please, keep quiet at the back! Nokia and Motorola and the rest of the mobile-phone manufacturers are constantly releasing new models of phones!

You see - situation like this is a great test for forum. You can say right away if its fairly moderated or its just biased "friendly cover-up" thing.

Please note - topic it self is not even about "this game better" or "this game suck" which is usualy draws all negativity.

This topic is an attempt to find same-minded people here who enjoy similar product......

It is clear that you don't have the best grasp of the English language so I'm guessing that you are from Russia (they don't call me Scoop for nothing ). I really doubt you'll find many supporters of the NGAGE on these forums so please don't take it personally that there's nothing nice being said about the NGAGE. I understand that you like the NGAGE and are just trying to spread the news about their second attempt at global domination (apparently they succeeded quite well in Russia, now it's time to get North American allegiance as well), but this forum is more into console and pc games instead of the portable systems. If you are looking for a great place to talk about sports games then you've found your place. If you're looking for a place to talk portable systems then you will be disappointed.

And as far as moderation of the forums are concerned, they don't need any. This is a close-knit bunch that can handle friendly debates and differences of opinions, so don't cry foul when nothing happens as a result of this thread.

Arguing with regulars (and past mods) is no way to make a good impression on the community. I would suggest taking the witty banter as a fun thing and not as a personal attack against yourself.

Most people think the NGage is about practical as a hot poker in the eye... if you happen to get some gaming enjoyment out if it, more power to you. Its not something to take personally when someone doesn't share your enjoyment of the product. Bringing up an NGage in a gaming forum is like talking about supped up Civic in a Ferrari forum. Its going to incite some conversation, but probably not positive.

As of sport gaming. Ngage does support Major League Gaming - where they organize sport games tournaments including for Ngage.

That is why I came to post about it here - online soccer gaming never benn boring.

I understand that majority doesnt like it - that is why I am LOOKING for people who does.

I thought I am in mature forum where I can post something without fear of being bashed or critisized for my post - especialy when i clearly stated what kind of response I am looking for.

It is gaming forum and Ngage is gaming devise - bad or good - it must have its fans and I am looking for them.

As of your Civic and Ferrary comparison - it will work if I start talking about Atari 2600 in Xbox forum. It doesnt apply here since this forum is not about HIGH END GAMING DEVICES its about sport gaming and Ngage got plently of sport games..

The first topic was NOT ruined by political games...it was ruined by <b>ad hominem</b> attacks, i.e. attacks on people that are unrelated to the <b>actual debate</b>.

Secondly, you can say that you're "not interested" in reading their opinion. That's fine. However, this is a forum for all members here, not just you. If anyone posts anything here, people have the right to disagree with it and debate it. This forum will not be a running paean to the NGage, Winning Eleven, Madden, the Dreamcast, Pac-Man, whatever.

So if you're not interested in other's opinions...well, that's too bad. Digital Sportspage is a place where people SHARE their opinions on things. It's what makes discussion great.

As for BK's post, he won't get any strikes for it. It was FUNNY. AND he didn't attack you or anyone else on this board. You don't have to reply to his topic if you don't think it's worthwhile. But he has the right to say it.

Okay to keep this on-topic I just do not see the value of the N-Gage/N-Gage 2. It appears that the majority of gamers/cell phone users are saying the same thing with the poor sales of the N-Gage. They gave away N-Gages to every manager who attended the Gamestop Managers meeting. Only two managers in our district of 25 mangers still have theirs. Out of those 25 stores only 7 of them (mall stores) still carry it. At our store we do not have any N-Gage systems or games.

The games have also gotten extremely poor reviews.
