Daryl Smith at it again...

Post by The_Sir »

"Outside linebacker
1. Daryl Smith, Georgia Tech, first-second round -- Had a great showing during Senior Bowl practices and in the game itself, capping an outstanding career during which he piled up 383 total tackles, including 48 for lost yardage.
2. D.J. Williams, Miami-Florida, first-second round -- Big and fast (a former fullback), but still learning the position.
3. Karlos Dansby, Auburn, second round -- Gifted physically and can attack off the edge, but needs to get off blocks quicker and improve his coverage skills.
4. Teddy Lehman, Oklahoma, second round -- Has legitimate 4.5 speed even at 6-1, 244 and is a very tough player. Had a tough week at the Senior Bowl but his combo of size and speed is still attractive.
4. Demorrio Williams, Nebraska, second round -- Still a bit raw, but his athleticism could help him succeed in the right system."

The Sir,

That´s great that your man from GaTech is doing so well.

Now a note of caution. If you´re here to discuss football and sports, that´s great. But if you´re here to dredge up old feuds, we just want you to know that Digital Sportspage is not the place for it. So we´ll keep things civil if you do. That´s our word.

And if some people on this board think this is a troll, then don´t feed the troll. If you think this is something that you want to discuss without digging up old arguments from other sites, then go right ahead.

That´s all. Have fun.

Yeah, Vilma is possibly the best LB in this draft. I hated him in college, but Im growing to respect him more and more. I don´t know why Kiper rated Daryl Smith as an OLB in his latest rankings. And he had Vilma as an ILB. Both played ILB in college and IMO, Smith is more likely to play ILB at the pro level. Both are sideline to sideline players with good speed. Those are probably the two best LBs in the draft.

There´s some great LBs in college next year, Ahmad Brooks and Channing Crowder being the best. I think Brooks and Crowder are better prospects than any LB since Arrington probably.

Yeah, Vilma will probably end up on the outside somewhere...but he´ll be damn good. He´s not big enough for the inside...but then again, they said the same thing about my boy Zack Thomas.
