WTF is with ESPN Games and lock ups?

I have brand new PS2 and I have been getting lock ups on several ESPN games. College Hoops, Hockey which I rearly play anyway and WSB 2K3. ESPN Football is the only one that seems to work. It doesn´t happen all the time but it happens enough to tick me off. I played five games of college hoops and went to check my stats and the game frooze on me. Anyone else notice this.
