I don´t get it

To all,
 
 I know this is probably a long since dead subject over here, and I generally take everything I see and read on the internet with a grain of salt, but out of morbid curiosity I have to ask.
 
 First let me state that I do not post frequently, but I have lurked quite both here and at SR over the past 3 or so years. I come here a lot more now since SR seems to have degenerated to a state that is too weird and too sad for me. I was looking at SR from time to time just to keep up with the ongoing personality disorder saga, but that has grown very stale and I cannot even begin to comprehend this new age online mafia gig. Additionally, the forum now sucks.
 
 That being said, what the hell is wrong with the human that runs that site? I am assuming the same person is running it now that has been running it all along. Am I also to assume that he is talking to himself online posing as Ernesto and Salvatore among the many other names he probably has been. I almost think a lot of the new people that are posting there are him as well. If that’s true, that’s f***ed up! I suppose there are worse things a person could do than to post as multiple people and talk to himself online, but that’s still f***ed up.
 
 The only remaining question I have is why? Is he really that bored and wants to see what kind of reaction he can get from people. I’ve met people in the world like that. Is it all a big joke? Or does he really have a mental problem that requires treatment? Perhaps the answer is all of the above.
 
 I’ve tried to actually rationalize why this person would behave in such a manner, but his actions defy rational thought. I figured since a lot of you used to post over there, and in some kind of way may have known him, you could explain this to me.
 
 It’s the last time I’ll bring it up, but I’m just curious.

 I really don´t care, that´s why I came over here. But for the record:
 
 Matt wiped his ass with that site and the people who had visited there for years on end and supported him and the project. He got a kick out of messing with people and seeing their reactions. While that might have been fine for flamers and spammers, for him nobody was off limits, not even the aformentioned long-time posters.
 What he did to purposefully drive everyone away was just egocentric to a bizzare extreme, stupid, beat and low and just about any other kind of shitty adjectives you can think of. He can kiss my ass, and I think many people here feel the same way I do.

While it is sad what has happened to SR, I really don´t think that Matt was ever Superior Man, CommonSense, Resin, or now Salvatore and Ernesto.
 
 Certainly, Matt changed his mind frequently on the direction of the site (and then eventually the forums), but I don´t think he could possibly be the person(s) posting there now.
 
 The "internet" personality I know as Matt and/or Sportsguy1992 always seemed to be a good guy in online communications I had, as well as online games, and I hold no ill will towards him.
 
 Put it this way, regardless of who it is, I really hope that there is not one person somewhere who is CommonSense, Resin, SuperiorMan, Salvatore, Ernesto, etc. all rolled into one. If so, I would agree that person needs some help. <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_wink.gif">

If it isn´t Matt, then it´s certainly people he´s in contact with. Common Sense came back right on cue as the site format changed, talking as if he ran the place. I don´t think Matt and Common were the same person, as Matt had this stilted, choppy way of writing that Common didn´t have, but Salvatore and Ernesto DO have in their reviews. And of course Matt knew and approved of Superior Man, the guy ran the place for awhile. I do think Matt was him, though.
 Don, people with multiple personality problems can be nice people sometimes. He was always nice in my dealings with him.
 But anyway, I can´t believe I´m falling into this trap again. SR is history. What´s up now doesn´t even count as SR anymore. Whether E&S are Matt or not is irrelevant, the site sucks ass.

After all the "conspiracy" stuff that went on over there, I can´t help but think that *all* of the current posts are from one person, even though there are 6-8 "regulars" posting over there now! I guess I´m paranoid, or something. One thing´s for sure; I don´t think I´ll ever take Sports Reviewers seriously again...

 We´re hitting a dry spell for new sports games. Other than NFL Street there is not a whole lot being released over the next month or so. Here is the question: Which sports games will you be playing until the next round of baseball games hit?
 
 My list: NCAA Football 2004, Winning Eleven 7, R:Racing Evolution, 1080 Avalanche, F-Zero GX. I´m sure that we´ll also be playing plenty of NFL Street soon when our copy arrives. That game looks way cool.

 With college basketball getting fully underway I´ll be playing a lot of March Madness 2004. Like Ernesto, I want to see what NFL Street has to offer. I´m not as optimistic that it will be a great game, but who knows.

 I get a kick out of the "supposedly" new posters. Heck, one´s even a neighbor of Dumb and Dumber (Sal and Ernesto). Just where did these new posters come from? Someone´s imagination if you ask me.
 
 Completely obvious they´re trying to come up with new post topics to make it seem that the forum is jumping. Sad part is that there´s only 4 or 5 personalities posting in each thread.
 
 If you want to laugh out loud, read their Q and A session from "Superior Man". They´re idiots.
 
 Maybe it´s me but I do believe Sal and Ernest are the same person. Sounds as though someone is just attempting to create different personalities for these dimwits, but it´s far too "see through" at least to me.
 
 Still amazed some old/original SR members are posting over there.....WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

Yeah, I´ve pretty much given up over there. Too much schizophrenia and OS rejects.
 
 It´s too bad because that forum was the most entertaining place I visited on the Internet for about 2 years. It was completely unpredictable and uninhibited, which sadly is why it also imploded. I like DSP a lot, and the civility here is a breath of fresh air, but I still miss that ol´ SR anarchy a bit. <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_frown.gif">

I´m also of the opinion that several of the new posters are fictional... i.e. "chingy" who speaks in some parody of ebonics, and "Slamma Jamma" who´s the most ardent and kind supporter of the Salvatore/Ernesto enterprise. Hell, he even started a thread today just to thank them for maintaining such a great site!
 
 Perhaps it´s some kind of experiment, to see how many thread views the proprietor can muster from what boils down to one guy´s boring conversation with himself. I know I´m strangely compelled to check up on all the strangeness that´s going on over there, so I guess I´m the foolish one.

Hey, I still casually read over the posts for the sole fact it´s like a car crash. You just have to look. Not to mention it´s my daily dose of the comic section. It really is humorous to think they´re actually fooling some people.
 
 I only posted at SR for a little over a year, but man there must have been a lot of "individuals" who just lurked over there. They all seem to be coming out of the wood works now. All commenting about how the site seems as though it´s improved or what not. Whoever is in charge must be sitting at his desk trying to come up with new "user name" and "personalities" (Lets see, we have a guy who can´t quite grasp the english language...someone who likes to post when he´s drunk, another who´s a new gamer who somehow found the site, etc etc etc.)
 
 I honestly believe all these threads are being created to 1. show that the site is still popular which it´s clearly not, and 2. to attract old SR members with supposedly intuitive thread topics.
 
 Such a poor poor attempt IMO.

I know I am guilty of this as we are but we still lurk over at SR to see how it is going over there. That might be exactly what he wants. He knows a part of us, though DSP is great, wants the old SR and he is purposely not giving it to us.

Thanks for the response guys. I won’t soil this good site by bringing up that other site anymore. The bizarre-ness of that site was just gnawing at me and I needed to vent it somewhere. This seemed as a good a place as any. So thanks for taking me up on the vent.
 
 Maybe in a couple years they’ll make a movie about the ordeal and call it “A Beautiful Mind (Online).”

 Are you sure it is him? I came into the SR chat for the first time in a month or so and he was in there and he swears he sold it to a friend of SuperiorMan.
 
 I would say it´s him but I don´t understand why he would do that. Is it supposed to be humor? It seems like a waste of time, in my book.

I spent way too much of my life trying to figure that site out. Just boils down to a few people having alot of fun at others expense. I refuse to play that game anymore and Resin can throw out all the donut jokes he wants.

 Hip nobody is kissing anyone´s ass. I respect Brent because he is not an anonymous poster like 97% of the asses that are masses at SR.
 
 I respect you for the same reason. But you have to admit SR was ruined by the Skull and Games crew. You were part of that at one time,so I can see why Brent has some doubts about you. Get over it bro.
 
 I lurked in chat enough to know the kind of s*** the Skull and Games crew plotted about.
 
 Siam liked to start s*** and cause problems,Matt went along and the site paid for it. End of story.
 
 I have not been to SR for awhile but I hope the bullshit that ruined that site dosen´t creep into DSP. This site dosen´t need SR´s baggage or bullshit.
