Battletech (PC)

Post by Danimal »

After 2 years Battletech for the PC was released yesterday and over all it is a pretty good game (despite my stream comments) it doesn't have native 32:9 support and they didn't deliver on a lot of the promises of the Kick Starter but if you ever played Battletech growing up and watch a good tactical strategy game I'd suggest taking a look. I continue to play after ending my stream below and that is where the campaign really kicks in. You're running a merc company, taking on job, salvaging mech parts, hiring pilots etc. There is a grander story going on as well but it adds up to a lot of fun.

Check out my initial stream below if interested and followers (or subscribers) are always appreciated

I've noodled around through the first couple introductory missions and I like what I've seen so far. I haven't even started with the management aspects yet, but it's a lovingly-made game. You can tell from the moment it starts.

The cinematic cuts during the attacks and so forth really add that TV / Anime feel to the game. Not to say it looks Anime by any means just cool to cut in and see a Mech's arm get blown off or a Jenner running through some trees.

Rob want to try some multiplayer?

Absolutely, but let me get my feet a little more wet first. Still working out what all the damn status bars mean. :)
