Triple Crown 2015

Post by Inuyasha »

Finally! Saw the replay. American paroah just kicked everyone ass. The 1% can now celebrate a sporting event for the first time in 37 years.

Interestingly, Secretariat would have won this race by 15 lengths based on the time.

Secretariat's run to the Triple Crown in the Belmont still ranks among the most awe-inspiring sporting feats I've ever seen live (on TV) or tape.

Still very happy to see American Pharoah win the TC! Very exciting, powerful run from the front to the win.

Agree 100% PK....remember watching it live as a 14 year old, but had no idea the magnitude of the event at the time.....the movie "Secretariat" does a nice job of re-living the history and magnitude of the achievement.

I was a bit young at 8 when Secretariat won in 73 but I vividly remember Seattle Slew winning going away in 77. The three races between Affirmed and Alydar in 78 are forever etched in my mind.

As a kid I thought it happened almost every year.....learned a lesson there!.....I was very happy to see it done again. VERY.

I was there on Saturday afternoon...place was rocking as he was coming down the stretch. It was by far the best sports moment I have seen live.
