Question about Best Buy purchases

Post by pk500 »

Hi all:

I pre-ordered WWE 2K15 for full price last week. Now I see BB is selling it on Black Friday for $29.99.

Can I return the copy of WWE 2K15 on BF and get a credit for $30? Does BB price-match itself? Does the game need to be unopened? Or should I just cancel the preorder and buy the game on BF? If I cancel, will the credit be returned to the gift card I used to purchase the game?

Sorry for so many questions. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Oh, sh*t -- NEVER MIND. :) WWE 2K15 is $29.99 for the 360 on BF at Best Buy, not the One.

Still, I'm curious to know answers to my questions. I'm sure the situation will arise again.

Thanks!

Best Buy will do a post purchase price match within the return window. If you paid with a gift card I'd imagine they'd just issue you a new one for the refund.

PK,

I rarely buy many games and rarely from Best Buy, but BB does price match itself, but it depends on the timing of the sale as to how far they will match. If you did cancel the order, I do believe the funds go back to that gift card you used. If the game is opened, of course returns are tough, but unopened there should be no issues as long as you haven't had the game over 30 days. I do buy alot of other things from BB as I am a Elite Plus member and with that comes additional time to return things and they are more lenient on returns and exchanges as well.

Hope that helps and if any of this is inaccurate, please correct me fellas....

I just bought Forza Horizon 2 last night and paid $42 after my gamer's club discount and a couple $5 certificates. Now, I'm seeing this game is going to be marked down to around $25 dollars I believe. I'm assuming BB will price match this?

Good luck getting them to price match Black Friday deals. The whole point of BF is to get people in the store to buy other stuff. I doubt they'll go back and price match purchases from BEFORE the event. Regular sales, sure, but I really doubt they will for BF. I hope they do, but don't get your hopes up.

And there you have it.

Though, to counter that "guarantee verbiage" I have gotten them to price match contract priced cell phones. But that was about a year ago, so the policy may have not be in effect back then.

Yeah BF deals are usually a no go for price matching. I'd just cancel the pre order and re-buy on BF. Most of the deals were available online last year so no need to go to a store.

Also a note on the gamers club - they won't give you that discount along with a price match.
