I'm sure it will have a lot in common with BioShock, but who cares? Looking forward to this one.

I was also looking around the GWJ forum thread on this title and it was pretty cool that Ken Levine (director of Bioshock 1 and Infinite) was posting in it.

This game is already inspiring some "cosplay" too. Not too shabby!

I loved the first Bioshock.. haven't had the time to play the second one - but apparently this one takes place before the first Bioshock and is separate from it for the most part. (The year is 1912 and it's a floating city in the sky)

I wish there more "sequels" like this. Very familiar, but clearly not a simple re-hash.

I LOVE the direction they took on this one too.. before Bioshock, which makes it very interesting.

The gameplay looks so freaking awesome too.

I know sports games can never just take a year and half to change their game so dramatically like these type of games, but it's amazing how some companies retool their sequels like the Bioshock team has.

I picked up Bioshock and Bioshock 2 today.. going to play through the first one again and then on to the 2nd one in anticipation for Bioshock Infinite!

For me, this is probably my favorite non sports series of all time.

Yeah. Now I'm excited for next week. PC version for sure especially after watching that review video complaining about the consoles.

never played the series. However, that trailer is INCREDIBLE. At very beginning, it crossed the mind, this looks like a logo from an educational film circa 1970's etc. Followed by the "In Search of..." type title screen.

whoever directed/wrote it, needs to receive a raise. Genius

I pre-ordered at the last minute so I'll have to wait a few days. Gives me time to wrap up Tomb Raider first.

Metacritic score is at 95.

I can't wait to play. Will start tonight. Will probably not be on this or any other related thread much, though, as I hear this is a game you want to experience as spoiler-free as possible.

This game is jumping my backlog and I pre-ordered for this reason.

Bioshock: Infinite

What a fantastic game.. a game that defines this generation of console gaming.

I'm about 3 hours in and it's just so well done. It's an experience that you just need to purchase the game and experience for yourself.

It's funny though, my favorite thing is being able to press up on the d-pad when I'm stuck to see where I need to go, genius!

The controls are great, Columbia is such a beautiful, yet scary place at times. I will say, in my gaming history, the Bioshock series is one of THE top series ever released.

I urge those of you who like FPS games to run out to the store today and pick up this game, or download to your PC and play it!

Especially for a guy like me, where I deviate from the goal at times in order to get more marbles. 8) Dead Space 3 had that feature too, it's a good way to remind a player of the main goal as one goes exploring in the vast environment. I imagine the game must look fantastic on a PC.

I've got a rental copy of this game coming today via Gamefly, along with My Tiger 14 rental. I'm nut a huge FPS player, but I did enjoy the first Bioshock installment. This one looks to be even better. I'm sure I'll be calling on my sons for help with this, but it's nice to know there are some subtle aids built into this game for FPS n00bs like me. I bet my wife will enjoy watching this one unfold. She liked the storyline in AC3, but the writing for this one seems to be even stronger.

Oh boy...you have no idea. I went with the PC version after reading a few reviews that said it blows the consoles out of the water and I'm glad I did. It's absolutely ridiculous looking. Sure, I lose out on resale value, but sometimes it is just worth it to have the best graphics (and the best keyboard/mouse controls instead of a damn controller). It's a fantastic game so far and I'm only 2 hours in. Already probably worth the price I paid, lol.

Got the PC version too....but I'm playing with a 360 controller because I'm a heathen. :)

Sound design is fantastic as well.

I caved because of this thread. Mind = blown at this game.

I am having a weird issue that is making it hard to play. The mouse seems ultra sensitive on default. A simple move send my view hurling and turning it down one notch which is all that is left makes it very slow. The whole experience is a bit disorienting for me and made me feel a bit sick.

I plan to update my mouse drivers tonight. I have a Rat 7 mouse with programmable dpi so hopefully I can find a happy medium for the game.
