I sure hope it's improved this year on the PS3. I'd rather stick a piece of used toilet paper in there than that joke of a baseball game. It was so inferior to the 360 version that PS3 owners should have been charged half off!

Shouldn't be a problem since you now own or at last count have a 360. :)

Oh well, that's why I always own more than one machine for those reasons alone. ;)

IGN posted some impressions. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1145260p1.html

"But there is something on the other side of the plate that's been added that affects pitching. There's now a stat for how many pitches a batter averages on a plate appearance. Basically, 2K11 knows if a batter tends to extend an at-bat by taking a lot of pitches (or fouling a lot of them off). If balanced right, this little detail could add an extra layer of realism to the pitcher-batter duels. "

"What I can say is that it feels a lot closer than 2K's baseball games have felt since the switch to the MLB 2K name."

I guess he's talking closer to baseball. That sentence just doesn't read right.

In baseball terms, they need to blow it up and start rebuilding. It's not like they can't make a great game because NBA 2k is their shining star.

I just don't proofread. There's a difference.

I kept asking myself closer to what. The Show? Past 2ks? Real Baseball? In the context of what the writer was talking about, it's rather important to tell us what it is.

Ah I see, well how about making that your New Years resolution? :)

The MLB 2K baseball series has had it's ups and down. No doubt 2K10 was very enjoyable and playable. I thought MLB 2K3 was decent. This series is definitely not on par with the Show but I found it more fun. I guess i'm burned out of the Show which is why I probably enjoyed last years 2K game so much.

FFS, here's the full context:
A perfect game isn't just about the pitches you chuck, but where your fielders stand and how they anticipate the ball off the bat. Can MLB 2K11 pull all of that off?

I'd be a fool to say yes or no without spending a dozen hours pitching games. What I can say is that it feels a lot closer than 2K's baseball games have felt since the switch to the MLB 2K name.

If MLB 2K11 is anywhere near as epic as Brian Wilson's appearance on George Lopez last night the game will be off the charts :). He pumps up MLB 2K11 near the end of the interview.

So...he's an athlete and he pulled it off. Impressive. I'm sure there are some that couldn't be this funny.

Why didn't 2K put Wilson on the cover? He's more recognizable than Halladay.
