Seems like a great place to put a link to a political board...especially when you're on of the guys who opposed politics being discussed here. What difference does it make if the same guys go over there? The same bad feelings will just carry back to DSP just like we haven't skipped a beat with the political threads.
Great idea.

If it's not competing with DSP, then why is it called the DSP Politics forum? If it's not competing with DSP, then why make a public announcement about it instead of PM'ing the four or five guys who contributed the vast majority of posts in the political threads?
And finally, as DB said, if you were in favor of killing political threads at DSP, why start a political forum for DSP members?
Odd.
Take care,

Well the whole thing here ran off the people I assume that used to argue with him and others, so I'm sure there will be a lot of spirited discussion going on in the new forum.pk500 wrote: And finally, as DB said, if you were in favor of killing political threads at DSP, why start a political forum for DSP members?

The bailout thread is not political, so I don't get your point. It's been a civil, apolitical discussion -- especially since both parties are in on the bailout -- about economics, finance and markets.JackB1 wrote:As soon as the "bailout" thread popped back up, it seems like a bunch of guys jumped on it and it looked like folks wanted a place to discuss these topics, so I provided one. I really didn't give it a whole lot of thought. If noone wants to use it, no bid deal. I was trying to help. Thats all.
Any disagreement with the bailout expressed in that thread has been on economic terms of principle, not on political party lines, so why even bring it up?
