I think for our Tournaments and the Tour, we should come to some agreement on skill points. Personally I think this game plays better with low skill points. Putting requires reading greens on your own rather than being given the line. Distance is also pretty fair. What do you guys think?

I think the consensus in some of the other posts is to go for 7 skill points total. Just create a player, complete the tutorial... and you´re done.

Yes... put me down as being in favor of 7 skill points also! We need to give the game a chance at maintaining its dignity.

I agree, 7 skill pts should provide more long term challenge and fun.

Are we going to leave how the 7 pts are divided up to each person? I was thinking, it might be fun to put all 7 pts on power. With accuracy at 0, we might miss more fairways and greens. With putting at 0, we wouldn´t necessarily be able to 2 putt every green. With recovery at 0, sand shots might be a little tougher to get close. Just an idea...

7 skill points sounds good to me. I don´t care how they are distributed but it should be the same for everyone.

With such a small amount of points, I don´t think it necessarily has to be the same distribution for everyone. We could have some long drivers, some ace putters, etc.

I´m in favor of 7 also. How can we police this? When is the next tournament? Is the Tour in the works?

I haven´t played in an online tournament yet, but I would think the tournament software reports the skill points of the players. The matches online show you how many skill points your opponent has. I would think there would be a mechanism in the program to allow administrators to limit skill points.
