"Poker Nights" refer to the times we get together to play games, such as Ghost Recon or TOCA2. It's much more flexible than a league and all are usually welcome (depending on the limits of the game). It's similar to "poker nights" in the "real world" when everyone that can make it away from their wives, girlfriends (or both in some cases), committments, etc. meet at someone's house to smoke cigars, drink beer, and play games.
