It's just that I think regardless of who wins this Series, and interleague records aside, the AL is still slightly ahead of the NL talent-wise top to bottom.

Maybe, but for who does this mean anything to? I'm sure Royals fans don't feel any better year after year because the AL has more megastars than the NL.

Good game tonight by the cards. Took advantage of the tigers errors. Dont like the Cards much but you couldn't resist rooting for them tonight with the way that crowd was going. It'll be nice to see a NL team win the WS. 1 more to go, but that's what they were saying vs the Tigers in 68 and KC in 85. But I think they'll do it, they are just a more experienced playoff team than the Tigers are right now.

Heck of a game. This was by far the most exciting game of the series. The Tigers bats woke up, and for 3/4 of the game they got some excellent pitching. The Cards got some clutch base hits from Eckstein and Molina early in the game to keep it close. They just continued to battle and battle. Obviously, the elements played a role in the game on Granderson's slip in center, but the Tigers came right back and tied the game.

Up 3-1 and far from over. The Tigers aren't going to roll over. If I were Leyland, I'd throw Rogers out there in game 5, but I know he won't pitch him on the road. The Cardinals have struggled to hit crafty lefthanders all season, so I'm happy to see him not pitching.

I was wrong about the forecast this evening, but tomorrow is supposed to rain all day.

What a game tonight... as most this series, it had plenty of ups and downs. Obviously I would love to see us clinch this tomorrow at home.

It would make that smackdown Boston gaves us obsolete in my memory.

Wainright is plain nasty, wow. Could you imagine if Izzy was healthy? 8O

The last time a team blew a 3-1 lead in the WS is well, how ironic the Cards vs KC. I am starting to think that the long layoff DET enjoyed is hurting the Tigers but who knows...

1985 still hurts, but moreso because of the botched called from umpire Don Dekinger. I think I was more upset about losing the '96 NLCS to the Braves after being up 3 games to 1.

NL wins one, thank you cards.

10 WS titles, in one city, more impressive than the A's 9 which were won between Philly and Oakland.

I suppose I'm still in awe that the Cardinals won the W.S. four games to one. It's almost a surreal feeling. Emotionally, the Mets series really took a lot out of me. In a sense, I was almost more excited to win that series than any. Going seven games, and advancing on to the World Series was incredible. Never did I really believe this team would cap off a tumultous season with a championship. The following really sums up the series IMO.

BRANDON INGE:

"It's the atmosphere that can get you a little tight," Inge said. "It's the biggest stage in the world for baseball. It can make some nerves, get people a little jittery."

JIM EDMONDS:

"It's not always the best team, the best pitching staff or the best offense that wins the World Series," said Edmonds, "but the best team playing in October. That was us. We finally got healthy for the first time since April. We got our confidence once we made the playoffs.

"And look what happened."

Best sign at the game: A tie actually. "Hit it to the pitcher" and "The experts are idiots".

Interesting note: Since the Wildcard inception in 1994, no NL Central team has won the World Series. Until now!

Congratulations Cardinals on an improbable season! Good luck to the Tigers as they surely will be in the top two of their division for many years to come. They're young and I'm confident they'll be back playing on the big stage one day.

I've had about a 10 hour hangover, man I'm getting to old for this.. BUT it couldn't have been for a better celebration.

I still can't believe how far Weaver has come.

Good. Glad I'm not the only one. I was trying to explain that to my wife today.... that I got more amped up after the game 7 win over the Mets than game 5 last night. Just getting to the series was enough after the season that they had and how they qualified to get in, I didn't really care what happened after that.

LOL! Count me as one of those idiots who didn't think the Cardinals had a chance. I can't believe they did it in only 5 games, too. Wow.

Oh well, only 153 days until Opening Day! :D
