Hope you guys are all well!

Speaking of mortars.. I played a round last night at Seine and found that map great for mortars. I'd respawn at deployment, set up on a far edge of the river and let them fly. Knowing that map, we all know that there will typically always be people that center capture point (amazing I can't recall the name of it) I killed three guys in one sitting before running off to capture a base.

Looking forward to catching up with you guys online soon!!
I saw you and Naples last night but your server was full and then you both were offline. I pictured your new 'better half' looking over your shoulder with her arms crossed, tapping her foot :) Teal and I played until the wee hours of the morning and, as usual, had a great time. Tonight we ride!

Yeah that was my problem, but with you and Teal as well...tried to get in a few times but never was successful. Gave up and just played some rounds with a buddy.

Yeah, Teal said he saw you online (friend me when you get a chance - Diablo25) but our server was full I guess. Teal and I were on the same server for a long while.

I'm gonna try and get on for a bit when I get home from my basketball game. I should be on by 9:30-10:00.

Yeah, I have it and suck. I have been getting frustrated with it. Controls are pissing me off.

Just purchased some new TB X12's today, and popped BF3 in to get the feel of the new headphones.

8O

I've been missing some killer sound in Battlefield, man! Wow. I've had some old TB X31's for 2 or 3 years, and the microphone has been fubar for about a year, so I've been using a CoD-neck microphone, while using the headphones for sound.

They have gotten MUCH better at Turtle Beach in that time. My goodness.

So, I'll see you all on tonight, with crystal clear voice. No more sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher!

I think those are the same ones I just bought on Saturday night. I know they were pretty amazing, but wasn't sure which model it was, because I was shocked they sounded as well as they did, considering they were like $60.

Those sound like the ones. They were 60 bucks, and they sound incredible. I cranked the bass once I got into a match and wow...tanks sound intimidating now, and firing an rpg is a beautiful, awesome aural experience. Can't wait to jump back in...lol

I went on for a bit tonight around 10 EST and kicked ass. I think I won 4 or 5 straight with the crew I had. I had another fantastic round on Kharg Island. I was born to play that map  now that. Have really gotten a clue on the maps...Karkand Expansion tomorrow :). The boys better be ready to get after it tomorrow night!!!

So does the B2K expansion just appear in my game? I preordered the game (from BB) which was supposed to include the Karkand pack. Is there anything you actually have to do to get the content?

Just go to the store from within the game menu. You should see the pack listed and can download from there. You can see it in there now but it is listed as coming soon or something like that.

It's going to take me awhile to wrap my head around paying $15 for a few extra maps, weapons and modes. I paid only $30 for the entire game new at retail.

I understand extortion disguised as microtransactions is part of the process of this generation of gaming. That doesn't mean I must like it.

I honestly wasn't aware there was a non limited edition sold. I thought everyone got this.

Nope...two separate versions, tho priced the same (at least where I've seen both versions like Fry's). No idea why anyone would buy the non-limited version...I guess they want to pay the 15 for the expansion.

It's worth the dough. Wow. Conquest Assault is a kick, and the new maps are just as awesome as the videos made them out to be. I will be burning some serious midnight oil tonight... :D

Of course, free is better!

Mine is slowly downloading for the 360. I can't authenticate on the PC right now so I can't even see how it looks.

The non-limited edition was $30 at my Best Buy on Black Friday; limited edition was not.

Interesting because I bought the LE version at BB on BF for my brother-in-law and it was 30 as well. Then that weekend, I got the LE version at Fry's for the same 30 bucks. You probably should have tried to persuade them. Figured a cheap ass like yourself would be in the bargaining business anyway. :)

Probably was my error. I had no idea there was a Limited Edition; I'm a 360 newb.

Oh, well. This new content can wait. I've spent enough dough recently, even by my watertight standards. :)

The new maps are very, very good. I've been playing them for a week now on the PS3 with the wife and am downloading now (2 gigs!!!) for the 360. Every map except for Wake Island sports a 3 and 5 flag variation (which is odd because it was 5 flags in 1943). A couple of maps are also very vertical with capture points up high on roofs. Conquest Assault also solves the base camping problem, though if you lose them all as the "base" team and have no where to spawn its game over. A big "wtf?" first time it happened to me.

Assignments are new as well for certain weapon unlocks in a very Call of Duty like way, but they are fun.

On a different note, I just discovered how great the Soflam is with a friend on the PS3 and am grinding Recon to try and get it for the 360. If you are in communication with someone in your squad who has the Stinger, Iglas, or Javelin..............holy crap look out!!!

I'll need to be smarter about limited editions next time.

I presume I'll either be kicked from or not permitted to play in a server that has the new maps in the rotation, correct?
