I'm back....

The only thing that happened with BC's football team after I left was that they won yet another bowl game.
It was not so much who won that game, it was the fact that the game played out exactly like I predicted it would, and the flaws in the teams that you claimed did not exist, were indeed exposed.

You seem to think I am judging west coast fans poorly. I am simply saying they are different from east coast fans. Now, I am glad I am not a typical west coast fan, but I have no problem if you choose to be like them.bkrich83 wrote:LOLOLOL. Where is your vaunted statistical analysis of the attitudes of the fans. I was more referring to the attitude of the people.

"Yah, ok. Just tell the people out there they won't die if they go to an outdoor sporting event when there is a cloud in the sky."
Well, fortunately, there rarely is a cloud in the sky, except in the Pacific NW. But sorry, west coast fans are just not a hardy bunch.

I refuse to go back to those posts just to prove my case. But in short, I believe we argued much about OU and USC's secondaries. And you were quite wrong as it turned out.bkrich83 wrote:What color is the sky in the fantasy land you live in?Parker wrote:The only thing that happened with BC's football team after I left was that they won yet another bowl game.

Come on BK...I actually will agree with Parker for once. LA fans pretty much suck. I went to the Clippers game last night. 3rd row at center court. The people that were sitting around us showed up in the 2nd quarter, were up and down all game...and left midway through the 4th. People in LA go to the game for the social aspect, not because they like the team or sport that they are going to see.
Same thing goes for the Dodgers. I live like 10 miles from Dodger stadium so I go there about 20-30 times a year. Everyone shows up in the 3rd and leaves in the 8th...what kind of fans are those? Towards the end of last year when the Dodgers were actually in the playoff chase, you actually saw some enthusiasm for the team. I can't say I've seen that in the last 5 years.
I hate LA fan...all of them. I wonder how many Laker games have sold out in the past month since the Lakers fell out of a playoff spot? La fans are the ultimate frontrunners. How many stupid f'n Laker flags do you see in the windows of every SUV you see on the road these days? Not a single one. Last year at this time, you couldn't drive (well, roll slowly while sitting in traffic) for 10 min. without seeing 4 or 5 of them. Damn I'm glad that's over...I wanted to run all of them off the road.

I agree on Dodger fan. But remember I am not in LA. Padres, Angels and Giants fans are a whole different ball game than Dodger fans.dbdynsty25 wrote:Come on BK...I actually will agree with Parker for once. LA fans pretty much suck. I agree about Angel fan...I go down there a few times a year (since the gf is an Angel fan). I haven't been to enough Giant/Padre games to make an assesment of them. It's just teams in Los Angeles that have the worthless fans. And no, that doesn't include the ANAHEIM Angels...not the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (which if you speak spanish means the Angels Angels of Anaheim, WTF?).
Unfortunately, for the Angels, or whatever they are called now, they will always be a joke no matter what their fans are like.

Parker,
If you're only back to the forums to prove that you "sure know a lot more about college sports than some people here claim to", then just leave. The forum is not here for you (or anyone else) to play "Who's has the biggest sports wang."
If you want to discuss sports, sports gaming, other topics, etc...that's fine. But if you're going to continue the same style of argumentation that you had before (make a statement, someone counters the statement, then you take some secondary/tertiary interpretation and say THAT's the point you were trying to make)....well, I don't have much tolerance for that and the discord that it causes.
And here's evidence of this style (in this post alone):
1) You say that you'll never come back "here" again, obviously meaning DSP. Then when you decide to come back, you take some tortured interpretation of "here" as what you REALLY meant.
2) "But all you need to do is look at the crowds on tv to tell the difference between east and west coast fans." bkrich then posts attendance figures from the West Coast that are pretty good. Instead of just saying "yeah, that's right", you then say you're talking about the attitude of the people.
You're either purposely vague so you can't be nailed down on a statement OR you just don't know how to communicate your opinions clearly. Either way, it's annoying as hell and causes problems. I'm not feeling very tolerant of this kind of crap, and considering the problems that it causes, I will take action (including bans) if I think it's necessary. Feel free to respond either here or via PM.

Because I was. I guess I'm a bit more analytical than the tv viewer who does nothing more than count the number of fans in the stands.
Anyway, bkrich has never given me credit for a damn thing, so he should not expect me to note when he makes a good point.
I am the same Parker I was before. You didn't ban me then, but I guess you have changed.

There's nothing wrong with change and I personally applaud Jared for his change in this regard. This place was a much better place while you were gone. You haven't posted in one other thread around here since making your announcment that you're back. You always have been one for the spotlight. Just leave Parker.Parker wrote:but I guess you have changed.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

That's not true. I've posted in 2 other threads I think.
Better? I don't know, but more peaceful, no was my point.

Tell you what let's test that theory out. Leave again, but this time make it 6 months and we''ll let you know how it turns out.Parker wrote:I haven't looked at most of the old threads, but it seems DSP wasn't any more peaceful than it was when I was last here.dbdynsty25 wrote:He just appreciated the last 3 months of peace on DSP Earth...like we all did.
You never left, you just didn't post. What do you think we all can't read the list of members browsing at the top of the forum?

The last time I saw this much focused negative attention on one person in here...
his name was Bush, and even he had some supporters...
Hey, Parker, maybe it's time for a reality check...I never got into the whole thing with you, so I don't have anything to say about it, but you've made no friends. Seems the old adage "absense makes the heart grow fonder" just got body slammed...I'd cut my losses, if I were you...

You just sumed up what this guy is all about in one post. He has been this way for the last 3 years under his current screen name. He loves to create drama.
I know we should ignore him,but most of the men that post here have very strong wills and opinions. We just can't stand to let this guy have the last word, especially when the words are so condescending and arrogant.
As long as he's back you might as well get used to these kinds of threads. It's what he likes and he'll never change.
