What a week, rides, sun, partying, MLB announces that Extra Innings package will be available on cable and the Mets sweep the now again hated Cards.

It's gonna be a sweet plain ride back to PR tomorow. :D

Heck, apparently it won't even be warm enough to rain on the frozen tundra of Jacobs Field tomorrow. I still can't wait, though. My favorite day of the year!!! :D

Well, the 3-0 Mets travel to the 3-0 Braves for a hellova series that I will be attending. Couldn't have set up the Saturday afternoon pitching matchup any better...Smoltz vs. Glavine. Gotta love it. Too bad I don't have the same connections with the Braves as I do with the Suns.

Well Philly fans, Jays trade Rosario to help your bullpen a bit. He doesn't have a great record but they like his arm.

Gotta love a guy who is traded for "cash considerations"...that cannot be a good sign.

This really has very little to do with baseball but thanks to the magic of DVR I've been watching Kyle Farnsworth shoot out the biggest snot rocket I've ever seen over and over again in the 9th inning of tonight's Yankee game. That thing must've been visible from the upper deck!

If DVR was around during the days of Patrick Ewing I know I would have a YouTube worthy collection of him cleaning out his nose by the scorer's table.

What horrible weather for baseball. The weather forecast calls for cold temperatures through the weekend for eastern portion of the USA. Not that cold here though.

Reminds me of Candlestick on a Friday night in July.

If things keep up, Charles Fuqua Manuel may be the first manager to go. Although things don't look so hot for Sam Perlozzo either.

DB, I hope you brought a jacket. Tonight's Braves game is going to be pretty chilly.

I just found an interesting article about an ambidextrous pitcher, here: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/06/sport ... ref=slogin

Before reading it, ask yourself if you know the rarely invoked rule for dictating the respective stances of a switch-pitcher vs. switch-hitter at bat.

Greg A. Harris was the last major league pitcher to throw with both hands during a game.

Showoff.

Seriously though, as a Yankee fan I'd pull for your guys under most circumstances, but I've got Oliver Perez in my fantasy league 8)

Stay warm...

I am clearly not showing off. Have you seen the score? Nothing to brag about when you get beatdown like this. But it doesn't mean s*** if the Braves can take the next two.

Mets have outscored the Cards and Braves 31-3.

Hope they still got some good swings left for the next 2 games.

Please don't tell me the Indians have a day/night doubleheader scheduled when the high in Cleveland is supposed to be 33 and snow is expected. It's bad enough they are playing a doubleheader, but a day/night? WTF?? The coldest I have ever been in my life was playing a high school baseball game near Lake Erie in 20 MPH winds. I can't imagine how cold it will be in Cleveland today.

What a dumb piece of scheduling by MLB. Why send a west coast team like Seattle into Cleveland for their only series of the year during the first two weeks of the season? At least when the Twins/White Sox game got canceled, they didn't have to immediately schedule a doubleheader and can wait until a later series this Spring or Summer.

I think they've already postponed today's day/night doubleheader and moved it to tomorrow. But that still leaves them a game short, so Seattle will have to travel all the way to Cleveland later in the season to make up one game.

That was much better. And even colder today. On to the rubber game and the division lead.
