I would definately recommend it...mainly because you can still play while you recharge...thus the nameAtXj wrote:I would recommend it, and if you have anymore than one wireless controller pick up an extra battery pack for it as well.Brando70 wrote:w00t! Just nabbed a premium system off KMart.com. No ridiculous bundle, no 20 pounds of s*** I didn't want, just the console, and for only $8 extra for ground shipping. I've got Best Buy certificates left over from Christmas that I can use for a couple games.
Do you guys recommend getting the plug-and-play cord?

It'll be interesting to see what all they've done.DivotMaker wrote:According to several sources, the update for the 360's is supposed to be available Monday.

Patch Improvements to the Xbox:
-Improved logic around deciding if saved games should be deleted and offer the option to only delete the profile and to leave all save data.
-Users reporting blank Friends List on the Xbox 360 dash after muting a friend while playing a game in Backwards Compatibility mode.
-Improved synching of games played to Web and in console.
-Network settings: keyboard does now allow entry of - (dash) character in the keyboard.
Kind of a strange list, but I'm guessing that first bit listed might help with the CoD and DOA4 game saves being deleted or corrupted.
That second one makes me laugh. Don't mute your friends when playing BC games, or else you will lose them all!

This one happened to me - and it was after muting one of the countless random aholes you encounter while playing Halo 2 on Live - was not one of my friends. The "fix" was to go back to your 360 dash, remove an existing friend and then have them re-add you. Only took me a few days of searching the web to find the workaround.webdanzer wrote:Patch Improvements to the Xbox:

After that, I just started unplugging my headset as opposed to muting everyone I came across.
Hopefully, the COD2 patch will happen tomorrow...

Got the system yesterday and set it up today. It's the coolest console I've ever seen, incredibly well thought out, with extra non-gaming functionality that I actually want to use. Sampled PGR, Call of Duty, and NBA 2k and was really impressed.
In fact, I'm so impressed I'm amazed the premium system only cost $400.
