That's the one I was leaning on keeping. Anyway after reading all the impressions i'm now more curious to see which version looks better, that's why I may keep both. They still haven't arrived so I have time to think about it. :)

Thanks Boom !

They praised the 360 version or thought it was overall better then they end with this which is why i'm still confused and may keep both.

"That said, it's patently clear that Rockstar hasn't handed in a lazy conversion here. Creative decisions have been made to compensate for the technical limitations, and by and large they really work, to the point where you sometimes wonder why they couldn't have been applied to the Xbox 360 version too. PS3 GTA IV looks absolutely fantastic, and even factoring in zero anti-aliasing support and a lower resolution, in many scenarios it looks as good as the 360 version, if not better."

Just look at the pictures, they look almost EXACTLY the same. I remember looking at comparison shots when the game first came out. The only consistent difference that i noticed is that the ps3 version looks more washed out as far as blacks go. The PS3 seems to have this "issue" with every cross platform game, not just GTAIV.

Just choose which version based on what controller you enjoy using best and be done with it already. You are worrying waaaaaay too much about extremely minor differences in graphics that
will be completely indiscernible when you're trying to avoid the cops as you speed across the Brookl...er, i mean Broker Bridge.

I think Gay Tony has the best (most fun) missions of any of the GTA IV content (i.e. main game, TLAD and BGT) - the weapons are awesome too. TLAD had better story and acting but I liked BGT the best.

I was the same way...downloaded and never played it. Fired it up over the weekend, not sure why really, but it's pretty sweet. Do it.

PC!!!

Only played 360 and PC versions so can't speak about the PS3 one but the PC version looks fantastic. I don't think you can go wrong with any version though - there are prettier games but it's about the immersiveness of the world itself through design and function rather than the resolution or clarity of the graphics.

Beating up hookers is also important.

I decided to go with the 360 version, looks pretty good especially since you can adjust brightness, contrast and color saturation.

How long do the gay tony and the other new story mode take? I see the game (GTA 4, plus gay tony and lost and the damned) for like $30 bucks used. I don't want to play gta4 again, so is it worth 30 bones for these 2 new stories? I liked gta4, but I wonder how well it's aged compared to newer games like Red Dead and Mafia 2.

Like most GTA stuff, if you stick to the story only stuff, probably 10 to 12 hours for each pack - much longer if you do all side missions & collecting. Both are pretty great, but Gay Tony was A++++.

I know it's all about GTA V right now but I was just playing through IV again prior to V's release and made this video using the PC version's capture feature and editor. I hope the PC/Next-Gen versions of GTA V have the same editing feature.

Hope you enjoy the video - it was captured in 1280x720 so looks best in full screen and at 720p. Please feel free to share the link.
