A buddy of mine in Buffalo got one today at a Walmart. They only got 4 systems in (Premiums) and he knew someone on the staff there so the chick held one for him.

Highlights are that 332,000 XBox 360's (not quite 400,000) were sold in the first five days. However, 1.3 million games were sold, around a 4 to 1 ratio. I guess those bundles work *too* well.

I'm in the same boat as many of you. I want a 360, but I'm not going to kill myself looking everyday for one. Wish me luck!

The above link no longer works as Gamespot is now reporting that NPD has withdrawn its November numbers. There is some speculation that the actual number of XBox 360's sold was actually less than 332k.

It shipped. I have a fedex tracking number and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow afternoon. I have a work Christmas party (or am I supposed to say Holiday party

) tomorrow night so I won't get it hooked up until Saturday. I'll be online looking for some PDZ and PGR3 action later this weekend.

Word on the forums is CC stores should have them in between tomorrow and Monday. I'm starting to think Best Buy on the 18th is going to be another camping fest, and no way I am doing that.

Not knocking your buddy, but this is exactly what I figured would happen once it became a "hard to get" item. They no longer will make it to the sales floor and you'll have to know somebody to get one. For the people who don't have an inside connection, they are just s*** out of luck.

Well, it's Canada so there's no 24 hour Wal-Marts. And I believe that it was for store open at 8AM. I'm not positive on that one though.

Last night at work (my last night, yay) a lady called and asked if we had gotten any, and I said that we had some on Tuesday and sold out.

She then asked, "Oh, are employees allowed to buy them?" and I told her, "Yes, as long as they're not working, or on the clock." And she asked if we held them for employees and all this crap, and I told her no, because we can't and I know that my management would freak out if we did that.

I just felt like saying, "f*** you lady." Like calling on a Thursday night at 9PM is going to get her anything anyway. Not mad at her calling, just at her accusatory tone.

Actually he told me last night that Walmart didn't hold one for him...they just called when they came in. So I guess he got it the old fashioned way.

Well not for me. Went to the nearest BB and they dished out exactly 10 numbers for the 1st 10 people on the line. Typical explanation, 1 per person, no families, friends etc. I was #18, tough luck. They were only 10 360's all premiums. No one knows when it's the next shipment now.

Its sad when you walk into the electronics section at Target and you are greeted with "Hey, you are back."

For those that have gotten/seen them in Walmart. Where did you actualy see them? In the Walmarts I goto, there is no place for 360s in the case.

There is a quantity list posted for the 18th BB shipment. It doesn't look good for me, the stopre had 57 for launch and is getting 36 for the 18th. Of course if this list is legit.

I will not be waiting out overnight to get them.

Looks like Jan or Feb to me, One thing is for sure, I will never complain about the PS2 launch again
