I've personally just been doing career mode for the most part. When I do the laps, I just get in a trance and then its 2 hours later. Not a good combination during this hectic work week!

After knocking off the achievemnets in Skyrim and going through major Dragborn withdrawl I put this sucker back in and finished the World Tour mode with the League of Legends season ten 27 race grind.
Actually did not win a couple of the races...Some of the twelve car races can be tough for Me at the higher levels.

My driver is at level 101 and I had gone over 20,000,000 in in game credits briefly but there was a Ferrari in the window I just had to have so I am at about 19 mil now.

Anyway...

Interestingly enough, I just put Forza in today for the first time in several weeks. Downloaded the ALMS pack and now I am doing the challenges again. The new Sebring challenge with the Audi R18 is pretty fun. But the real reason everyone should play Forza 4 sometime this weekend is that you could win 100,000 MS Points. This is the kind of news that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops: Porsche is returning to Forza Motorsport! Today we’re unveiling the first look at the Forza Motorsport 4 Porsche Expansion Pack, which will arrive on Xbox LIVE on May 22, featuring content and gameplay experiences solely dedicated to one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.

First up, the cars. The Forza Motorsport 4 Porsche Expansion Pack will feature 30 incredible Porsche models for you to collect, drive, and customize, including two models announced today: the 2010 Porsche 911 Sport Classic and the 2010 Porsche Boxster S. Seven of the 30 Porsche models that will be featured in the Porsche Expansion Pack are brand new to the Forza franchise—look for more car details to be revealed in the coming weeks.

The Porsche Expansion Pack is more than just cars, however. The pack will also feature 20 brand new Porsche-centric events to be added to your Forza 4 career, as well as 10 new Xbox LIVE Achievements (worth a total of 250 Gamerscore points) all centered around Porsche. In addition, players can expect to see Porsche models in the AI field when racing in events, as well as integrated into Forza 4’s level reward structure.

Upon the release of the Porsche Expansion Pack, fans can expect Porsche-themed Rivals Mode events and new online multiplayer hoppers dedicated to the dozens of Porsche models in the pack. In short, our goal is to deliver the most comprehensive and fun Porsche experience available in any racing game today!

The Forza Motorsport 4 Porsche Expansion Pack will be available 1600 MS Points ($19.99) and is scheduled for release via Xbox LIVE on May 22. Look for more information on the pack soon. Forza Horizon Announcement

Likewise, there is a trailer and press about a new Forza title for this fall called Forza Horizon that is a spinoff of some kind, not the next version of the series. The trailer doesn't really provide much info at all as to what it actually is, but the speculation in the new Official Forza Horizon forums is that it will be more of an open world Test Drive Unlimited type of game.

The next chapter in the Forza franchise has been revealed: Forza Horizon is on its way! Officially unveiled to the press last week during Microsoft’s Xbox Showcase, Forza Horizon will be available this fall for the Xbox 360. For a glimpse at what Forza Horizon is all about, check out the teaser trailer we released today:

Forza Horizon is being developed by Playground Games in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios. Playground Games is an independent UK game development studio formed in 2009. It was founded by the leadership team responsible for award-winning racing franchises like TOCA, Colin McRae Rally, GRID, and DiRT. Over the past two years the studio has enhanced its core team with experienced developers from Bizarre Creations, Black Rock Studios, Slightly Mad Studios, Criterion Games, Rockstar North, and Ubisoft Reflections, among others. Dominating the 1972 Manufacturer’s World Championship and driven by such legends as Mario Andretti and Jacky Ickx, the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P holds historic status in endurance racing. The car was developed in response to the FIA’s decision to limit engine displacement to three liters, down from five. Despite the belief the car used a further-developed F1 V12; it was powered by a horizontally opposed 12-cylinder boxer engine with twin overhead cams for each bank of cylinders. The boxer engine reduced the overall height, as well as the car’s center of gravity. Developing 440 bhp at 10,800 RPM and weighing in at just over 1,400 pounds, the 312 P had a formidable power-to-weight ratio of .316. The cars distinctive post-mounted rear-view mirror and wedge-scoop design set it apart from its contemporaries, just as pork chops and sideburns did with facial hair of the era.

This pack also contains the Ultima GTR which independently ran the Top Gear Test Track Power Lap in 1:12.8. That is considered the number 2 all time street legal lap but not officially recognized by Top Gear/BBC as it was not on the show and driven by the Stig. So far, the best I can muster from a standing start is a 1:17.752. This thing is a beast to control but has ridiculous speed and acceleration.

It sure appears that way. There is a 160+ page stickied "Track Wish List" thread in the official Forza 4 forums with little to no input from any actual Devs/Moderators. A recent post seemed to suggest that there may be no additional tracks coming which would suck.

Dan has already come out and admitted that track packs are not very profitable and have given zero indication that any new tracks will ever be released for FM4 so why do we have 157 pages of requests that will go unfulfilled? That said, and for the 8th time can we please have Spa?

Unfortunately I don't think so. There are actually only a couple ALMS cars in the ALMS pack. There are more ALMS cars in the base game, but I don't know of a way to make a custom series that has only specific cars and tracks to race on. You might be able to do it in a one off(non career) race, but not create a season. I will try this out tonight and see.

This morning I tried to purchase and download the Porsche DLC from within the game so that I could get the VIP discount, but I was met with an error and it would not let me purchase. Apparently it was not only me, but it looks like Turn 10 has it resolved now.

You can get it for half that on eBay. Either way it's absolutely worth it. Just be sure you get the full game not the essentials edition or whatever they call it. I made that mistake at GameStop.
