BC and its seriously cocky fans is almost redundant. Aren't they all arrogant asses? I think it's the birthright of any New England sports fan, to be a pompous dick.

Although I would root for Vermont if it wasn't playing SU in the first round. Love the state, and Coppenrath and Brennan are great stories.

Sounds like you had fun watching the 'Cuse win the Big East. How long do you think Forth will stay on the floor Friday before Jimmy pulls him for Watkins? The Watkins-Roberts-Warrick front line was mighty impressive at times in New York.

Take care,

I think the New England/Boston area fans are that way, to make up for the fact they have to live in the New England/Boston area. That place is a dive.

Wow. I just got back last night from a few days in Braintree and I thought the peope there were as nice as any I've met. I felt the same way when I went to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard a few years ago. I loved it.

I think BC will be glad it went to the ACC next year when it's playing new partners Miami, Clemson and Va. Tech in hoops instead of Big East newcomers Louisville, DePaul, Cincinnati and Marquette.

People can argue all they want about what college hoop conference is best this season, and it's a legitimate argument.

There will be no argument next year. The Big East will stand alone.

"Nothing to play for?
Perhaps a number one seed in the NCAA tourney?
Maybe pride?
Nobody really cares who won the regular season BE title. BC choked it away, and over the last few weeks of the regular season, they were able to prove they are not a serious title contender. Don't fool yourself."

For crap's sake, it was an average stretch of 8 games. Uconn looked worse than us during their quite extensive period of struggle. You can't stay red hot an entire season (well usually, Illinois nearly did). The job of the committee is to evaluate the season as a whole, and as a whole, it was still worthy of a higher seed.

But in any case, the committee usually cares plenty about who wins the regular season BE, regardless of how a team finishes. I dont recall them giving a BE season champ such a low seed, even if they didn't finish the season particularly strong. And some of those teams had more than 4 losses. The BE was not evaluated on solely how the teams played this year, and that's the bottom line.

I don't know if the BE will be as strong next year. Until the new teams learn how to play defense and be more physical, they will struggle. Meanwhile, we will bring some of that much needed style of play to the ACC.

I'd rather an overconfident NE sports fan than a California fan whose faith in their teams is about as solid as Britney's boobies.

Yes! Thank God BC is going to save the ACC. Maybe now the rest of the college basketball world will get to know what a Blue Devil and a Tar Heel is.

I guess Mr. College Sports Expert forgot that Louisville enters the NCAA Tournament on a 18-1 run in its last 19 games.

I don't get your point. Louisville wasn't extraordinarly hot before then, which is why they have 4 losses.

Who cares about 4 losses 3 months ago?

18 and 1 is still 18 and 1 no matter who you are....

Yes, but my point was it's rare that you can play at that level an entire season. Many championship teams have played very well for 20 games and average the other 8.

True, but 18-1 over the past 19 games is ANYTHING but average, which is the point that others have been trying to make....

Back 1 day and it's right back to the same stupid sh!t. This place has been great while you were away Parker and now you have to go and ruin it by not being able to keep your word on a bet. No one wants to hear your sh!t about your superior knowledge of sports, college or otherwise. Didn't you learn anything from the bet that you lost? Just go away already and be a man of your word.

Thats because you don't know the difference between faith and blind myopic homerism.

Bottom line, I could care less what you'd rather be. You still have to live there, and I still get to live here.

Yah, ok. Just tell the people out there they won't die if they go to an outdoor sporting event when there is a cloud in the sky.

Blind myopic homerism is one thing, but it's another thing when there is statistical evidence and logical reasoning that doesn't support a lack of faith.

Good showing by my junkyard dogs today. It seems we have a chip on our shoulders again.

Penn is not that bad of a defensive team either.

Perhaps geography isn't my strong suit, but I'm pretty sure I live east of the Mississippi. In any case, I've been to most parts of this country, including the west coast. But all you need to do is look at the crowds on tv to tell the difference between east and west coast fans.

Half of what you say doesn't even make any sense.

But I'm really surprised you want to start comparing our ability to analyze football, considering what happened soon after I left.

BTW since the West Coast doesn't draw.

MLB Attendance figures.
LA #2
Anaheim #4
San Francisco #6
San Diego #10

Only Oakland lagged behind at #20.

BTW Boston was #12 and Baltimore was #13.. Not all Boston's fault as the hole in the ground known as Fenway doesn't hold that many, but the theory that So Cal fan don't go to games is absurd.

LA, Anaheim, San Fran and San Diego all drew 3 million fans plus.

Who said the West Coast didn't draw (at least at the start of games before they lose interest and leave)?

I was more referring to the attitude of the people.

What happened other than BC getting rolled. You mean USC winning? Called sandbagging. I've pretty much been known to do it for every team I root for, from the Padres, to the Chargers, to the Trojans, it's a running joke at USC.

As far as analyzing football, stick to your stats, and be happy in your own little world of ignorance.

LOLOLOL. Where is your vaunted statistical analysis of the attitudes of the fans. Again keep on proving you know nothing of what you are talking about.
