I figured I'd rank near the bottom based on last year. 2 of my biggest hitters (Sexson and Ordonez) hardly played at all. I have a lot riding on these 2 guys coming back to what they were in 2003.

But hey, I'm happy with the rankings, as long as I finished above DB

Two of these teams finished 1-2 in the DSP league last year. And then there's DB :)
Keep it up and you'll be on the outside looking in.

nice job jayhawk i enjoyed that...its like our own little preseason preview

suprised to see i could pass up on randy johnson at the 4 spot and still be tops in Ks

matthew keep in mind the games still have to be played and theres alot of variables involved not to mention some luck

example : i finished in second last year after holding 1st place for the better part of the summer up until the final week give or take a random day here or there

and richie sexton was one of my main offensive cogs going into the season only to lose him early on you should do great with sexton i would have gladly grabbed him again based on potential but then again sometimes you get burnt by these players in fantasy league and you end up holding a grudge..lol.....in fact i lost one other significant hitter early on as well but cant remember who off the top of my head

as zec, myself and many others can attest the draft sets ya up nicely but day to day / weekly managment /juggling lineups and pickups can make all the difference in the world come time to pass the finish line

Too bad you're going to run out of pitching innings in July :P

Just kidding, I am enjoying the league. Z is kicking everyone's ass. I gambled on my SPs in the draft and now am probably going to pay the price.

BTW, next year we should have a rule that allows us to combine all the Molina brothers into one catcher.

What a coicindence this thread is back on the front page. A have a BIG problem that needs fixing.

Late last night I thought I was dropping Danny Haren (OAK) for a shot at Piazza. Instead, It dropped Rich Harden (OAK), which is an obvious mistake. It was late, I was really tired from work/kids, so I probably checked the wrong box. Their names are very similar, and the team is the same.

Anyways, I want this transaction reversed. It was a mistake, and an obvious one. Why would I drop my best pitcher? If not, then the #1 team on the waiver wire will get a big gift, and I'll get screwed.

Matt,

Okay, so I dropped Piazza, changed Hardens waiver date, and changed your waiver priority to #1 so that you get him when he clears waivers. Put in your request for him...he should come off tomorrow. That's the best I can do. Obviously, you are only allowed to pick up Harden with that priority #1.

Thanks DB. Like I said, it was late and I was real tired. I hadn't noticed that my earlier request to drop Haren had gone through.

Well, it looks like he has to pass waivers before I can pick him up. Must be some rule about picking him back up via waivers since I let him go. As long as no one else picks him up, I'll pick him back up after he clears waivers.

Yeah, you've got the waiver priority so you will get him as long as you get your request in. I could only move the waiver date up on him until tomorrow (instead of Monday), I couldn't get rid of it or else I could have just completely reversed the transaction.

The problem is, I can't get my request in. It won't let m because I'm the one that dropped him.

Don't know what to tell you then. I can't do crap with players on waivers so I have no control. I'll post a message on the board so hopefully no one picks him up.

OK, Thanks. Sorry about this mess. That's the last time I make any move right before going to bed.
