looks like 5 min periods will be it.

I will do medium speed unless anyone is against it.

We have enough to get started. I will post the league name and info soon.

Once you set league size, more teams cannot be added. Don't start the league until you have finalized the number of teams.

He have 10. We can do 18 games where you play everyone twice or we could do 27 where you play everyone 3 times. What do you all think?
I would like to set up the league on Fri and start games as early as Fri nite. There will be a minimum of 2 games per week, but you can play as many as you like.

Again......if you think you cannot commit to completing the schedule PLEASE do not join. I hate to be a dick about it, but I would rather have a smaller group of dedicated players, than a larger one that will fizzle out.

I will make it for 18 games, which means we play each other 2X each.
Any games under 2 per week not played will count as losses. I will manually track the standings and update them in this thread, so please post your scores here. Feel free to play more than 2X per week if you like. That is just a minimum. Since we are doing 5 min periods, you can knock out a bunch of games at a clip.

I will set up the league late tonite, so feel free to start games this weekend. Remember.....I am tracking scores manually so please report games here.

"League Nights" will be Tues & Thurs, Fri...9-midnite ET. On these nights/times, you can hang out in the the league lobby and wait for players or just be online and ready to go if challenged. Don't worry about the home/away thing. It doesn't really matter. Just try and switch it up if you play back to back...but it's not neccesary.

It's really unfortunate how poorly the league interface has been implemented for NHL 08. Obviously, the 2K system has had its bugs but it seems as though EA's setup is near useless.

Mark1177 signed up, but opted to take San Jose instead of Minnesota if it's not a problem.

According to him, his first game against Johnny (COL) was reported as a loss due to a lockup in the third. He was up 3-1 at the time and wants to know if he should arrange to play a period of a game with Johnny to finish out the game and adjust the results here.

Yeah, he was up but due to the crappy league interface if the lock up is on your side, you automatically get a 3-0 loss. I can drop from the league and rejoin and the score will be reset and we can play again.

However, this should be kept in mind going forward...since there is no way to replay games, at least as kept in the online EA League screen. Moral of the story would be to make sure that your NAT settings in the Xbox Live Network test are "OPEN". Random disconnects due to power outages, surges, etc. not withstanding.
