are any of u guys having problems with this mod, with the behind the pitcher camera? it gets stuck on a shot of the crowd every once in a while, making it impossibel to pitch.

Yeah I noticed that at first...but I don't really use the BPC so I don't really care about it.

I think there was a fix posted over at OS in the thread about this mod.

Edit: page 24 about 3/4 of the way down there is a new datafile posted by Kraw - fixes that issue and adds new camera angles.

Ok Mr. Sarcastic.

Here's the post and file:

mvpmods is down again, can some of you guys try this datafile out?

if you do not know how to add a datafile, don't worry about it

http://www.mindwarped.com/datafile.rar

that should fix camera #6 and add some cool walkup carmera action

Walkup music and HR music is back too

It needs to go in the MVP Baseball 2005\data folder.

Thanks Mizz!!! I'll give it a shot. BTW....dont let "Mr Sarcastic"
get to you. He means no harm :D ...he just takes his job as the
"Thread Police" very seriously.

You don't have a MVP Baseball 2005\data folder?

That's where it should go.

On dbdynsty25, I know he's a grump and actually he does a good job keeping the forums trash free. :)

I do have that folder, but not a file called "datafile.txt"?

Jack,

By default, I don't think the game has one. It's been awhile since I first started using the datafiles, but I don't think one was in their to begin with.

Well I finally got a copy of the game and the mod. Remember I have no high speed access so I had to go visit a friend for such a large download. The first time I downloaded the mod and got it home I found out the file was corrupt so I had to revisit my friend.

Got everything working today and all I can say is Very Nice!!!!! I am definitely going to play this one. I will not be picking up a console MLB game this year. I will get one for the handheld once a few reviews are available. I'm digging NCAA baseball right now as well so all in all it looks like it'll be a great baseball gaming season!!!

I finally sat down and really ran this through the runner and I gotta tell you, this is probably one of the best mods for a sports game that I've ever experienced.

these guys really know their stuff and you can tell that they took some time in making sure this was very well done.

If you have a decent pc and don't mind playing sports games on it, this is without a doubt the best version of the best baseball game I've ever played.

This mod definitely pushes MVP 05/06 past my previous favorite in High Heat 2002.

I've spent more time playing MVP05 with this mod this past week then anything else. What an incredible job, I wish I could keep up on updates etc, but MVP Mods has to be the slowest site I've ever seen, following a forum thread there is painful.

I, too, have been getting back into MVP 2005 with this latest mod. It is an amazing upgrade.

My only challenge at this point from this game being "perfect" is hitting doubles. I can hit about 2x as many HR's as doubles. At this point I don't think it is a slider issue, as much as it is my swing mechanics.

What is your strategy for hitting doubles?

I have not been having trouble hitting doubles myself, I don't have a strategy though I just hit.

I decided to start a dynasty, even though this mod is in beta. Funny thing is the Nationals picked up sammy sosa on opening day from the FA pool :)

I'm debating starting one also. My only worry is the Free Agent pool is loaded with the Heroes and Legends. I can't figure out how to delete them.
