You should see what I do for Penn State games, they really need the help. Two weeks ago I broke out my '82 National Championship t-shirt. Since I got it when I was 9 it didn't fit any longer. So I had my 4 year old son wear it. I thought it was working against Purdue, but I think I used up all the magic in that shirt when I wore it for the '87 Fiesta Bowl National Championship game.dbdynsty25 wrote:Man I thought I was superstitious...Brett takes it to a whole new level.

>>>As far as the Jets beating the Pats at home, thank you. I needed some comic relief today.<<<
Gotta agree with Parker on this one. I've seen both the Jets and Pats play the Bills this season, and the Pats are the superior team in just about every aspect.
Back to baseball ...
Take care,
PK

Yes I know, it's that important.Parker wrote:You can not understand my situation. When you haven't won since 1918, you will do anything to win. I don't care what anyone thinks me of. I will sacrifice anything for this cause.

But then again, maybe this is another "charade." You never know with Parker.

parker regardless of if you're serious at all or just trying to instigate some fights on here you're the man, dont change because it's hilarious seeing people get so bent out of shape over TEXT haha
seriously if parker pisses you off think of it like this... for all you know, parker could be your next door neighbor, how the hell do you know? all you know him by is reading his text... i think its ridiculous how people can get fired up over a message board, it's not real unless you know the person on a personal level and you see them in person... sure i would like to meet some of the people on here like airdog or dbdynsty, but for all i know they could both be women pretending to be men(haha sike) so seriously if parker pisses you off, you need to check yourself
keep up the good work parker haha

Any given sunday...any given sunday. Hell, someone is going to lose to the Dolphins this year.pk500 wrote:>>>As far as the Jets beating the Pats at home, thank you. I needed some comic relief today.<<<

The Jets are playing well enough to win and have given the Pats good games over the past few years, even when the Jets were a poor team. Watching two teams play another team does not indicate how they will match up with each other.
I'm feeling a Jets win!

I am guessing that shirt was MIA when Oklahoma beat PSU for the national title in 1985?

Were you one of those idiots in the Mastercard commercial that was willing to give up all their money, their car, their dog, their girlfriend, and their first born child? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.Parker wrote:You can not understand my situation. When you haven't won since 1918, you will do anything to win. I don't care what anyone thinks me of. Oh yeah...wanna bet?!?!?Parker wrote:As far as the Jets beating the Pats at home, thank you. I needed some comic relief today.
Tsu: Money? How much?
Parker: Uh...no.
Tsu: Dinner? Where at?
Parker: Uh...no.
Tsu: I got it! Self-respect? You got any?
Parker: Very little...you're on! What's a little less self-respect? I am a Boston fan after all...woo-hoo!
So the bet also included changing your avatar to a Patriots logo? Ooops you forgot to fib your way out of that one.Yes I waived the white flag, but that was because I made a bet with Yankee fans that I would give up my obnoxious cheering if we went down 3-0. I hated every minute of it. I will never make such a deal again. I will never give up on the Red Sox.
How about a link to that message board Parker and the thread. I know it does not allow images but would assume it let's people sign up for it? Or is it one of those popular message boards that is currently full of members and not accepting any new ones? After game 2, I made the bet that we would not lose game 3. It seemed logical at the time since we were going back to Fenway where we don't lose often. I didn't make the bet here, but I did on another popular message board that doesn't allow images, so I linked Yankee fans to here.

It wouldn't look like I was completely giving up if I still had my Red Sox avatar, obviously.
The agreement was made on the hugely messy Redsox.com board, the thread appears to be long gone.

Dang don't you hate it when forums do that. Of the millions of threads in a forum why oh why did they have have to remove yours. What is your screen name there? Maybe I can contact the forum admin for you to find out what happened. I would think such a valuable thread should never be removed. Especially when something as importaint as your "self-respect" was on the line.

At least he admitted he's obnoxious.
And knowing is half the battle. G.I. Joe!!!
Parker wrote:It is hardly an uncommon thing. Guys on the redsox and yank boards make silly bets all the time. There is a search function but besides not ever being very useful, it's extremely slow at the moment with all the traffic.
What does a search button have to do with a deleted thread? Can't search for what does not exist. Just need your screen name please. I will get it taken care of for you. It is uncalled for that a Red Sox forum remove a thread by one of it's most respected fans.
